On February 2, the program "Experiencing Vietnamese Tet" will take place at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to introduce to a large number of tourists and people of the capital the beauty of the traditional Tet holiday.

At the program, with the participation of artisans, students and pupils from Bac Ninh and Hanoi, visitors have the opportunity to learn and experience the beauty of traditional Tet through many interesting activities, such as erecting a pole, wrapping banh chung, writing calligraphy, printing Dong Ho paintings, water puppetry and many folk games such as tug of war, badminton, playing mat, throwing pao, tossing con, pushing sticks. In particular, children also have the opportunity to freely explore the 12 zodiac animals through painting and molding funny to he figurines.
This year, the event also has exciting new activities such as exploring Hoi An heritage, discovering Tet through technology, interactive games and discovering science through folk knowledge (STEM).
In particular, the program had the participation of Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Trong Duong with an introduction to the legend of the dragon's birth and death in Vietnamese culture and the dragon symbol in the culture of ethnic minorities in Vietnam.
"Experiencing Vietnamese Tet" is one of the activities towards the "Happy Spring of the Year of the Dragon" program of the Museum, taking place from the 4th to the 9th day of Tet. Of which, from the 4th to the 7th day of Tet (February 13 - 16), the Museum organizes the "Opening Spring" program with activities such as Ai Lao singing and dancing, water puppetry, calligraphy and making to he figurines.
In addition, on the 8th and 9th of Tet (February 17 and 18), the program "Happy Spring of the Year of the Dragon: Cultural Shades of Hoi An" will take place with the participation of more than 40 artisans from Hoi An. In particular, the program "Hoi An Night: Lighting up the heritage together" promises to bring visitors unforgettable experiences.
The program "Experience Vietnamese Tet" at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology will bring visitors and locals meaningful spring activities. Traditional and new activities have helped people learn about the beauty and meaning of Vietnamese Tet. The event also created a joyful and warm space where everyone can join together and enjoy the bustling spring atmosphere.
