NDO - In a bustling and rich atmosphere, the festival "Experience Vietnamese - Travel around the world" took place with great success in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The event was organized by the Consulate General of Vietnam in Frankfurt in coordination with the Reading with Children Club and the Nắng Việt class.

More than 150 members from Vietnamese families in Germany who love Vietnamese gathered in Frankfurt to participate in the event, in a bustling, joyful, and inspiring atmosphere.

Vietnamese is not only a means of communication, but more importantly, in foreign countries, it is a bridge connecting the young generation of Vietnamese origin living abroad with their roots. The festival creates an atmosphere of language exchange, and is also an opportunity for children and their families to relive their folk cultural memories, imbued with love for their homeland through traditional activities, folk games and art performances with strong Vietnamese colors.

The book series "Hello Vietnamese" was honored to receive gifts from General Secretary To Lam and his wife during an international business trip.

From early morning, the festival space was bustling with the laughter and excitement of the children. At "Ben Chu", children, along with their grandparents and parents, were absorbed in arranging letters into words, connecting words into sentences, and writing Vietnamese words to hang on the pole - a sacred symbol in the national consciousness.

"Folk Wharf" is bustling with traditional games such as shuttlecock kicking and throwing con - games associated with Vietnamese childhood that both children and adults are eager to participate in.

The festival "Experience Vietnamese - Travel around the world" took place very excitingly.

The event opened with the dance performance "Oh Vietnam" by students of the Vietnamese language class "Nang Viet" in colorful costumes and fluttering flags. Under the enthusiastic and dynamic guidance of Doctor of Education Nguyen Thuy Anh - who is always passionate about sowing the seeds of Vietnamese language for children far from the Fatherland - activities such as: reading nursery rhymes, singing the alphabet, spinning top competition or dancing on command brought a vibrant, educational and friendly atmosphere.

The children were excited to join the game.

The interesting and lovely highlight of the festival is some interesting activities such as decorating bamboo dragonflies - a traditional folk toy of Vietnamese children. The delicately balanced dragonflies both arouse curiosity and bring children into the colorful and creative world of Vietnamese handicraft culture.

The festival brings a valuable and intimate experience of language, also touching the journey of nurturing the Vietnamese soul in the heart of Europe. On a sunny Frankfurt afternoon, the crisp laughter, sparkling eyes and each melodious nursery rhyme have contributed to awakening in each child the love for their mother tongue - a love that is not forced, but comes from discovery, experience and natural joy.

The success of the event marked the solidarity, unity and efforts of the Vietnamese community in Germany in preserving the national language and culture. In particular, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Frankfurt am Main, overseas Vietnamese families, teachers and those who have silently devoted themselves to the mission of preserving and spreading the Vietnamese language in foreign lands have contributed significantly to the journey of preserving the mother tongue.

With meaningful activities, Vietnamese is gradually reaching out and spreading in the Vietnamese community, at the same time bringing Vietnamese identity to friends around the world. The aspiration is becoming reality through each smile, each word, and each heart that loves the mother tongue.

Regarding the journey of spreading Vietnamese language in the overseas Vietnamese community, one of the outstanding marks that needs to be mentioned is the book series "Hello Vietnamese" compiled by author - Doctor of Education Nguyen Thuy Anh, published by Vietnam Education Publishing House.

This is a valuable book series in the Vietnamese Bookshelf, honored to accompany Party and State leaders on international business trips, demonstrating the special role of Vietnamese as an indispensable part in the journey of preserving national cultural identity.

The atmosphere of the festival is full of excitement and joy.

With volume 1 "Going Out to Sea" and volume 2 "Discovery", the book series provides lively and cute interactive activities to help Vietnamese children living far from their homeland approach their mother tongue naturally, and also contributes to a source of method-rich documents for parents and teachers in the teaching process.

The image of little girl Miu Nguyen in the TV version of "Hello Vietnamese" on VTV4 channel, hosted by author Nguyen Thuy Anh, has brought lovely stories from books closer to the Vietnamese community around the world.

The book series was honored to receive the A Prize - the fourth National Book Award, 2023 and in the coming time, readers will continue to accompany Miu Nguyen and Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh in the next books with more profound and emotional Vietnamese experiences.

The way the festival is organized is innovative and creative.

The Reading with Children Club, with its persistent journey over the years, has become one of the special cultural nuclei, connecting the Vietnamese community abroad through books and inspiring and creative activities.

Besides inspiring a love of reading, the club also spreads the love of Vietnamese through practical and familiar activities, bringing the mother tongue closer to the young generation born and raised abroad.

Festivals like the one that just took place in Frankfurt mark the continuation of a long journey, where every word, every game, every moment of interaction contributes to nurturing cultural identity, preserving the Vietnamese language as an indispensable part of the identity of Vietnamese people around the world.
