With 10 hectares of land and 50 farming households, the Dong Noi field (Quang Trung 11 area) is currently a concentrated vegetable growing area in Uong Bi. Thanks to factors such as soil, water, climate, and the farming skills of the local people, the water spinach, cabbage, and many other leafy vegetables from Dong Noi are delicious, clean, and always sell quickly. For many years, the people of Dong Noi have jointly established and implemented farming regulations that combine production with environmental protection, and together operate cooperatives to standardize production and consumption processes, creating delicious and safe vegetable products for the market.
Ms. Vu Thi Hau, Director of Dong Noi Safe Vegetable Production and Business Cooperative, said: "A brand is its economic value. After many efforts to achieve the current reputation, the cooperative must protect and continuously improve the quality of its products. Only then can we ensure sustainable development and help people increase their income from vegetable farming."
Mr. Quan Van Hai's chicken farm (in Nui Gac area) is one of the cleanest and most beautiful chicken farms in Uong Bi ward. After many years of raising chickens under contract for CP Vietnam Livestock Corporation, Mr. Hai has expanded his flock to 70,000-80,000 chickens per year. Recognizing technology as the core, he invested in a modern, automated farm system, from feeding and watering to temperature control. A standout feature is the closed-loop, automated feeding system that dispenses accurately and continuously, saving costs and protecting the environment. Thanks to this systematic investment, this farming model has maintained high economic efficiency and sustainable development for many years.

Along with direct production, Uong Bi ward is encouraging households to pay attention to and invest in developing models for processing clean agricultural products. As a result, Uong Bi ward now has well-known agricultural processing facilities on the market, such as the Nam Hai Fish Sauce Production Cooperative (Quang Trung 11 area). Nam Hai's main product is currently sea worm fish sauce with 54% protein content. Mr. Tran Quoc Dai, Director of the Cooperative, said: "Entering the fish sauce market quite late, we determined from the beginning to compete with many large brands. After researching and developing the market, I chose traditional fish sauce but applied high technology to create a unique and competitive product..."
The Nam Hai Fish Sauce Production Cooperative has combined traditional techniques with modern equipment and technology to roughly separate salt, water, calcium deposits, fish bones, and protein, as well as finely separate tiny suspended impurities in the fish sauce product... thereby removing excess salt, reducing salinity, and increasing the aroma and protein content of the fish sauce. Thanks to this elaborate separation and filtration method, Dai Cat sea worm fish sauce has a clear, beautiful amber color and, notably, a high protein content of up to 54%, a mild taste, a sweet flavor, and the characteristic aroma of sea worm fish sauce.
According to a report from the Uong Bi Ward Farmers' Association, after nearly a year of operating under the new model, agricultural production in the area is developing steadily in line with urban agriculture. Many models of aquaculture, fruit tree cultivation, flower and ornamental plant cultivation in the ward utilize less arable land, instead applying advanced science, technology, and equipment to produce green, clean, high-value agricultural products with strong market demand, thereby improving the lives of the people. Uong Bi Ward is transforming agriculture from an area with little economic advantage into one with potential for value appreciation and sustainable development.
