According to statistics, in Korea, since 2018, the country's highways are 4,000km and have 189 rest stops. With only 189 rest stops, it has generated 1.3 trillion won in profit, equivalent to 1.1 billion USD/year. This profit is achieved thanks to Korea's coordination in bringing regional cuisine, specialties, traditional art centers and many diverse sports activities to rest stops - making this place not only a rest stop but also a tourist attraction.

Similarly, in Japan today there are more than 1,145 rest stops and these are not only places for drivers and passengers to stop and rest… but also the most sought-after spots for tourists . Because at the rest stops, tourists can buy local specialties and enjoy the scenery.

Phuc Loc Rest Stop ( Tien Giang ) with a scale of up to 12 hectares is voted by tourists as an ideal stopover.

In Vietnam, there is also a chain of bus stops worth thousands of billions of VND stretching from all the provinces in the West, to the East and the Central Highlands of Phuong Trang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company - FUTA Bus lines similar to the bus stops in Korea and Japan.

The stop is also a place to shop and check-in when traveling.

A typical example is Phuc Loc Rest Stop (Tien Giang) with a scale of up to 12 hectares, planned synchronously from the inside out with full services beyond expectations of a typical rest stop.

Ms. L. Ngoc - marketing manager at a bank in Hanoi, on a business trip to the West, came to Phuc Loc rest stop for the first time and said she was very surprised when she arrived at Phuc Loc rest stop (Tien Giang). Because in her imagination, a rest stop was just a place with a toilet. But at Phuc Loc, the design and layout of the rest stop was extremely eye-catching.

Right from the gate, Phuc Loc Rest Stop (Tien Giang) is designed with vivid signposts as if introducing to everyone passing by - come here - because inside there are a series of services and "specialties". Even if you don't know what's inside, with the modern design, you can see the professionalism and meticulousness of the investor. As well as the fact that they are very interested and focus on promoting the image to attract local tourists. This is very valuable.

Inside the campus is a beautifully designed mini park with cool green space, with many colorful flower trellises. And in the campus of the rest stop, there are miniature landscapes, waiting chairs, yellow lights... enough for tourists to chill and check-in. "Only now do I understand why Phuc Loc is visited by so many young people to take "virtual life" photos," said Ms. Ngoc.

According to Ms. Ngoc, right in front of the rest stop are restaurants, cafes and even a pharmacy with lanterns hanging in front of the door. At night, the rest stop lights up with a shopping atmosphere, creating a cozy and prosperous feeling.

In particular, when entering the rest stop, anyone who comes for the first time will be overwhelmed because this is not exactly a normal rest stop, but rather a shopping center. Here, with many areas, customers have 101 choices of what to buy, what to eat, what to drink. From fast food with prices from only 10 thousand, hundreds of thousands of VND to more sophisticated traditional dishes. Even at Phuc Loc Rest Stop (Tien Giang), there is a vegetarian restaurant ready if any guest wants to enjoy a light meal.

If not shopping, customers can sit and relax at Phuc Loc cafe at the stop next to the fish pond with the peaceful sound of flowing water.

But what Ms. Ngoc thinks is more interesting at Phuc Loc Rest Stop (Tien Giang) is that visitors can shop for high-quality seasonal fruit specialties of the West. “Every time I go on a business trip to the West, I always buy mangoes and star apples when I return. Because the goods here are 10/10 points,” Ms. Ngoc said.

It is known that up to now, Phuc Loc Rest Stop (Tien Giang) serves 35,000 visitors per day and 45,000 visitors on weekends. Although serving a large number of visitors, with the synchronization in investment and professionalism in management and operation, for many years this rest stop has been voted by many bloggers, famous actors, and travel sites as a familiar destination, a favorite stop on their journey to the West.

Also located in the Phuong Trang Group's rest stop system, Phuc Loc 2 Rest Stop (Ben Tre) is also designed with regional culture in mind. Accordingly, the roof of the restaurant and shopping area is covered with coconut leaves - a typical tree of Ben Tre province.

Stopping at Phuc Loc 2, drivers and passengers feel truly relaxed, feeling the space of the river region. As for passengers on the bus, stopping at the stop is like returning home.

Like Phuc Loc (Tien Giang), at Phuc Loc 2 (Ben Tre) combined with the locality, the stop is currently selling many items that are specialties and handicrafts of Ben Tre people.

Phuc Loc rest stop system is for all passengers.

Ms. Tran Thi Hoa Xim, Director of Phuc Loc Rest Stop, shared that the reason Phuong Trang Group's rest stop system is not named Phuong Trang is because the rest stop is not only for Phuong Trang passengers but for everyone.

With Phuong Trang's rest stops, they are not just places to rest and use the 5-star toilet, but they must truly be places to rest, relax and shop. Therefore, Phuc Loc Rest Stop is confident that it can serve all the needs of visitors, stopovers or shoppers.

To provide better and better services, Ms. Hoa Xim said that each stop is taken care of in its own house. Not only beautifying the campus, diversifying shopping products... but professionalism must also be present in the kitchen. The kitchen at Phuc Loc is similar to the kitchen standards of a hotel. And all customers, not just those traveling by Phuong Trang, can enjoy the best services on their journey when stopping at the stop. "Also through the development of the system of stops, we hope to contribute to the development of local tourism, contributing to the country", Ms. Hoa Xim said.

Mr. Tran Dang Khue (from Saigon) drove a car from Can Tho to Saigon and stopped at Phuc Loc (Tien Giang). He said that because of his job, he often had to drive to the provinces, so he had the opportunity to experience many rest stops. Among the routes, he was most "disgusted" by having to stop along Highway 20 because there were still unclean toilet stops and expensive food.

The most recent route he is afraid to travel is the new Phan Thiet - Vinh Hao highway because... there are no rest stops. "If there are rest stops, please don't make them just for going to the toilet..." said Mr. Khue.

Mr. Tran Dang Khue, a car driver from Can Tho to Saigon, said he really likes Phuc Loc Rest Stop (Tien Giang) because it is like a shopping mall with all the convenient services.

According to Mr. Khue, the reason he often stops by Phuc Loc Rest Stop (Tien Giang) to rest is because there is comfortable parking, airy and beautiful space. Especially inside, everything you need is available.

"Hopefully in the future, when electric vehicles will become a global trend, I hope that Phuc Loc Rest Stop (Tien Giang) will have more charging stations for electric vehicles," said Mr. Khue.
