Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, about 90km southeast of Hanoi , belongs to Ninh Binh province. Trang An is a historical and cultural relic site of the ancient capital Hoa Lu, located in the Trang An - Tam Coc - Bich Dong Scenic Landscape Complex and Hoa Lu special-use primeval forest.
In addition to the 1.6km road tourist route through three consecutive passes: Cay Pass, Vai Pass and Tran Temple Pass, coming to Trang An eco-tourism area, visitors can be fascinated by the scenery of the waterway tourist route, combined with mountain climbing on a closed route.
From the pier, the first stop is Trinh Temple, then visitors take a boat through Dia Linh Cave, Toi Cave, Sang Cave, Nau Ruou Cave, then go ashore; and climb nearly 500 stone steps to offer incense at Tran Temple.
From here, those who love to explore can continue on a boat to go through Sinh cave, Si cave, Ba Giot cave, Seo cave, Son Duong cave and visit Khong palace, then continue the journey to Khong cave, Tran cave, Quy Hau cave... and return to the starting point.
Along with Trang An eco-tourism area, Tam Coc-Bich Dong tourist area is one of the attractive landscapes. Tam Coc means 3 caves, including Hang Ca, Hang Hai and Hang Ba.
Coming to Tam Coc, visitors will be able to take a boat tour, admire the sky, clouds, rivers, majestic mountains... each season has its own beauty, Tam Coc always attracts visitors to admire the beauty that nature has bestowed upon this place. Bich Dong, meaning green cave, is known as "Nam Thien De Nhi Dong". The Trang An scenic complex also surrounds the Hoa Lu special-use primeval forest with a diverse and rich ecosystem, including rare animals such as ground phoenixes, starlings, babblers, monkeys, pythons, especially the white-bibbed gibbon, a species listed in the world's Red Book.
