The 5th "Trade Union Bracelet" Contest is organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association . The contest was launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on October 31, 2024.
After nearly 1 year of implementation, the contest has attracted heart-touching stories about workers and union officials.
At the same time, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that after 5 years of implementation, "Union Arms" has truly become a bridge connecting millions of hearts of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers across the country. Each story is a life. Each line is a belief. All create a beautiful picture of humanity, the strength of solidarity, the warmth of the Vietnam Trade Union - a reliable support and loving arms of workers.
With this 5th writing contest, the Organizing Committee received more than 1,100 entries from all over the country. What is special is that in addition to professional journalists, the contest also attracted a large number of union officials, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers. They brought to the contest many stories with their real experiences and real emotions.
Through 2 preliminary and final rounds, the Jury selected 3 A prizes, 5 B prizes, 8 C prizes, 15 consolation prizes and prizes for inspirational characters and characters creating impressive emotions.
Many quality and touching articles such as: "The woman carrying the sky", "Where love nurtures love", "Give wings to aspirations for the 500kV line circuit 3"... bring profound humane messages: the union is not only an organization representing interests, but also a warm embrace, where workers find spiritual support and sharing.

The work “Union Feet That Have Not Stopped” moved readers when it depicted the image of cadres who, although no longer able to do union work after the reorganization, still had their hearts turned towards the workers, ready to advise and support whenever needed.
In the non-professional group, many articles brought genuine, simple emotions. For example, the story of Mr. Vo Thanh Ky (Quang Ngai), who once faced cancer, but thanks to the sharing of the union organization, he found his faith in life again. Or the special story of author Luong Tuan Huy with the article "Guiding light" and the accompanying letter, expressing his wish to donate all the prize money if he wins to disabled children at Hy Vong School (Viet Hung, Hanoi ).

Speaking at the closing and award ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung said that this year's contest was upgraded when the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor coordinated with the Vietnam Journalists Association to host it. This change expanded the scale, affirming the increasingly great prestige and influence of the contest in the life of the press and trade union organizations.
