This is a campaign organized by the Ministry of Public Security , celebrating the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day, the 20th anniversary of the National Security Protection Day and summarizing 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Ngo Hoai Thu, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work, Ministry of Public Security emphasized: In recent years, thoroughly grasping the guiding viewpoints of our Party and State on the role of literature and art in building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development of the country in general, and the work of building the People's Public Security force in particular, the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security have always paid attention to leading the issuance of many important guiding documents.
The Central Public Security Party Committee issued Resolution No. 05/DU-CATW on “Improving the quality and effectiveness of cultural and artistic work to meet the requirements of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern Public Security force”. The Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security have focused on directing the organization of creative activities and promoting literary and artistic works on the subject of Public Security through creative competitions and campaigns.
Through this, the Public Security Forces have mobilized and encouraged many professional and non-professional authors inside and outside the Public Security Forces to participate, resulting in many literary and artistic works of ideological and artistic value, with content that truly and deeply reflects the reality of the work and combat of Public Security soldiers. Many works have been widely promoted to the public, entering the country's literary and artistic life.
In the field of literature, following the success of the Campaign for writing short stories and memoirs with the theme "The grassroots police soldier for peaceful villages and hamlets, serving the people" in 2023, the Ministry of Public Security continues to organize the Campaign for writing short stories and memoirs with the theme "CAND - 80 years of building, fighting and growing up". The results of these creative campaigns have brought special significance, continuing to be the premise for the development of the field of literary writing on the topic of CAND in the coming time.
Major General Ngo Hoai Thu, on behalf of the standing unit organizing the campaign, respectfully thanked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Writers Association for creating favorable conditions, coordinating and helping to organize the campaign, thanked the members of the Jury; acknowledged and commended the authors, officers and soldiers who responded to participate in the campaign and congratulated the award-winning authors...
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced, awarded and awarded certificates to 15 authors whose works won Prize A, 20 authors whose works won Prize B and 25 authors whose works won Prize C. As for the works that won the Encouragement Prize, the Organizing Committee will send them to the authors' personal addresses.
