The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor was awarded the First Class Labor Medal.

To commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, on July 28th in Hanoi , the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) held the 4th Nguyen Van Linh Award Ceremony and received the First-Class Labor Order. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended and delivered a speech at the event.

Before the awards ceremony began, all delegates in the hall observed a minute of silence to express their deep respect and gratitude to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who has always shown special affection and concern for the working class.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man praised the outstanding achievements of the Trade Union organization, its members, and workers nationwide over the past 95 years; congratulated the 10 Trade Union officials who were awarded the Nguyen Van Linh Prize and the 95 outstanding grassroots trade union chairmen and union presidents who were commended and awarded prizes.

The Chairman of the National Assembly assessed that, over 95 years of construction and development, the Vietnam Trade Union has continuously grown stronger and more mature, accompanying the nation, serving as a reliable and loyal support for the Party, wholeheartedly striving for the rights and interests of the working class and laborers; making important and direct contributions to the great victories of the Vietnamese revolution. The working class and the Trade Union organization have always been the leading force in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.

In recent times, the trade union organization has made many breakthroughs and innovations in terms of organization, content, and methods of operation. Trade unions at all levels, especially the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, have proactively and creatively proposed and organized many practical activities to care for the lives of union members and workers, such as "Tet Reunion," "Workers' Month"; the program: Prime Minister meets and dialogues with workers; the National Labor Productivity Improvement Forum; the Workers' Forum; and the organization of thematic meetings between National Assembly representatives and voters who are workers and laborers...

The Vietnam Trade Union has served as an important information channel for the National Assembly and the Government to understand the thoughts and aspirations of workers, enabling them to better fulfill their legislative, supervisory, and decision-making tasks on issues directly related to the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

Along with the growth of the Trade Union organization, the working class has been strengthened in number and improved in quality; trade unions at all levels have taken care to cultivate and recommend tens of thousands of outstanding workers, civil servants, and laborers for the Party and State to consider, appoint, and promote to leadership positions in Party committees, government, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations at all levels.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his hope that the exemplary trade union officials awarded the Nguyen Van Linh Prize, and the outstanding grassroots trade union chairmen and union leaders honored today, will strongly spread the spirit of innovation, creativity, and continuous striving among trade union officials at all levels, so that more exemplary trade union officials worthy of receiving awards and honors will continue to receive recognition and honor in the coming years.

At the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang presented the Nguyen Van Linh Award to 10 trade union officials who have achieved outstanding and exemplary results in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers and building a strong trade union organization.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, emphasized: For 95 years, overcoming countless difficulties and challenges, under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnam Trade Union has continuously grown and matured, accompanying the nation, serving as a reliable and loyal force and support for the Party, closely connected to and wholeheartedly striving for the rights and interests of the working class and laborers. In each historical period, the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization have made worthy contributions to the great victories of the Vietnamese revolution. Successive generations of trade union officials and members have strived, made efforts, contributed, and sacrificed for the Fatherland, enriching the fervent patriotism of the Vietnamese people and the tradition of heroic, steadfast, and indomitable struggle of the Vietnamese working class.
