According to initial information, at around 10am the same day, a male buffalo was being held in a cage awaiting slaughter in Tan Loi commune (Hon Quan district), suddenly escaped from its cage and ran out onto the road towards Binh Long town. On the way, the buffalo gored 5 passersby, slightly injuring them and damaging fences, doors, and motorbikes of several households in Binh Long town.

Upon receiving the news, the leaders of Binh Long Town People's Committee directly went to the scene to direct the police and military forces to coordinate with other forces to prevent and handle the buffalo, not allowing the buffalo to attack people.

Chairwoman of Binh Long Town People's Committee Hoang Thi Hong Van directly directed the handling of the buffalo, not to cause further injuries and damage to the people.
At around 2:00 p.m. the same day, Binh Long Town authorities were able to control the buffalo and return it to its owner.
