Not only has beautiful scenery, Bu Gia Map attracts many tourists to come trekking thanks to the unique cultural features of indigenous peoples.
Bu Gia Map National Park is located in Bu Gia Map district, Binh Phuoc province. This is one of the most famous national parks in Vietnam thanks to its diverse natural ecosystem and flora and fauna.
Not only is it home to many rare species of flora and fauna, Bu Gia Map is an ideal trekking destination for those who love exploration , nature, and want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the bustling city.
Kieu My (26 years old, HCMC) had a memorable 3-day, 2-night trekking trip in Bu Gia Map. This was her first time trekking, and the young girl was so excited and happy that she forgot her fatigue.
“The most memorable memory of the trip was witnessing swarms of butterflies flying around the forests and streams. Because it was butterfly season, I was able to see many different types of butterflies throughout the trip, just like being lost in a fairy tale world ,” Kieu My shared. She was moved and moved when she hugged hundreds of years old precious trees. In particular, Kieu My loved and appreciated even more when she heard the forest rangers tell stories about forest protection.
Not only immersed in the green scenery and fresh air, female tourists also learn more about the culture and customs of the S'Tieng ethnic people living here. The culture of the ethnic community is closely linked to the trees in the forest. Traditional houses of the S'Tieng ethnic group are built mainly with bamboo, mum, and reed for walls and frames, and palm leaves and thatched roofs. The people here weave brocade from the fibers of some natural plants such as cotton, jute, flax and many other fiber-producing plants. Colors are also extracted from the leaves, stems or tubers of some plants such as brown tubers or indigo plants.
The total trekking distance is about 8km, the terrain is not steep, there are streams and forests so the group does not get tired or encounter any problems or difficulties. This is also an ideal route for first-time trekkers.
However, because the rain and sunshine in the forest are unpredictable, visitors should proactively prepare insect repellent, raincoats, pants, long-sleeved shirts, sun hats, etc. In addition, you should buy specialized, anti-slip trekking shoes and a lightweight backpack.
Although it does not require high physical strength, Kieu My believes that trekking Bu Gia Map still requires endurance, a relaxed and open mind to fully enjoy the beauty of nature here.
The female tourist affirmed that she will continue to return to Bu Gia Map in the future because in addition to the beautiful nature, this place has a unique culture and genuine, rustic, and simple people.
