The "Candle of Gratitude" workshop at the Hoang Sa Exhibition House has been held from July 14th to the present, aiming to attract the public, especially young people, to experience it.
At the workshop, the public is guided to make scented candles themselves, freely choosing colors, fragrances, and designs, thereby creating handcrafted products that are deeply personal and meaningful. According to reports, the "Candles of Gratitude" workshop has received widespread public interest, with dozens of people participating daily.
Phan Xuan Nhi (residing in Cam Le ward, Da Nang city) said that making scented candles for the first time through a workshop was a very interesting and meaningful activity. Here, Nhi learned about the process of making scented candles and freely created candles according to her own preferences and ideas.
"More meaningfully, through the handmade scented candles, with their shapes and drawings, I and everyone else can express our feelings and gratitude to the heroes and martyrs who are dedicating their lives and sacrificing themselves for the independence and freedom of our country. In addition, this is also an opportunity for me to learn more about our country's islands and seas, to appreciate and be conscious of preserving Vietnam's territorial sovereignty ," Nhi shared.

Meanwhile, Le Minh Quan, a resident of Son Tra ward, who visited the Hoang Sa Exhibition House with his family and experienced making scented candles, commented that the "Candles of Gratitude" workshop was a very beneficial activity.
More than just making scented candles, this is also an opportunity to educate people about patriotism and gratitude towards their ancestors who sacrificed their lives to protect every inch of their homeland's land and sea.
"Each candle is made in a unique shape, but they all share a common meaning. That is the affection and gratitude of today's generation for the heroes and martyrs from all over the country," Quân said.

After more than 10 days of implementation, the "Candle of Gratitude" workshop has attracted over 200 registered participants. It is expected that the Hoang Sa Exhibition House will continue this activity to attract the public and enrich and diversify experiential activities for locals, tourists, and especially the younger generation during the summer.
According to Ms. Huynh Thi Kim Lap, head of the Professional Services Department at the Hoang Sa Exhibition House, with the message "Each candle is an expression of gratitude," the program is not only a creative experiential activity but also a bridge connecting tradition and the present.
Through this activity, the Hoang Sa Exhibition House has chosen candle molds and decorative accessories in the shape of marine creatures, aiming to educate, inspire, and cultivate love for the sea and islands among the public. This, in turn, helps to raise awareness and responsibility among the younger generation in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland today and in the future.
