2024 is forecasted to continue to have many difficulties and challenges in electricity supply, especially during the peak summer months. Up to now, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company has shown its efforts and determination to provide safe and stable electricity to ensure the goal of serving important political and social activities in the province. To achieve such results, in addition to the attention and direction of the Provincial People's Committee, local departments and branches, it is necessary to mention the coordination and sharing of customers, especially 110kV customers. To show timely attention and encouragement, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company recently organized a ceremony to honor customers with outstanding achievements in electricity demand management (DSM) in 2024.

In early July 2024, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company met and expressed gratitude to customers with outstanding achievements in electricity demand management (DSM) in 2024.

Previously, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company held a Customer Conference on electricity supply, electricity demand management and electricity saving in 2024. This event is an opportunity for Thanh Hoa Electricity Company to meet and share information on the results of electricity supply in 2023 and the plan for 2024, together with customers to discuss and find solutions to improve efficiency in coordinating to participate in the load adjustment program to join hands with the electricity industry to ensure national energy security.

Based on the directives of the Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, the Vietnam Electricity Group and the Northern Power Corporation. The Company has proactively informed about the electricity supply situation, the plan to ensure electricity in the hot season of 2024, the DSM program, electricity saving measures as well as discussed and negotiated with customers in the spirit of understanding, sharing and voluntarily participating in shifting production loads during peak hours in the summer of 2024, ready to operate Diesel generators when the power supply system is difficult.

To achieve the planned results, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company has regularly monitored the load, researched and forecasted the exact load for electricity users to implement the DSM program with the goal of implementing the correct available capacity and promoting electricity saving in the management area. Since April 2024, the Company has proactively monitored and closely managed the electricity load chart of customers who have signed DSM commitments and agreements in 2024 such as: saving electricity, implementing voluntary non-commercial electricity load adjustment (DR), reducing when the system requires, shifting electricity load and mobilizing on-site generators... on the list of priority customers, with appropriate customer care policies to create high support from customers when implementing DSM programs.

During the implementation of this program so far, customers have highly appreciated the coordination and power supply work to serve the development of production and business of Thanh Hoa Electricity Company in the past time. On the other hand, they also strongly support the participation in DSM and DR work. In addition, they are requested to continue to pay attention to and invest in the power grid to ensure quality and continuous power supply to serve production and business.

At the customer appreciation meetings, Thanh Hoa Electricity Company informed about its efforts in electricity supply as well as coordination and support for the implementation of the 500kV circuit 3 project passing through Thanh Hoa. The Company will build a direct information channel with each customer with large electricity consumption to promptly share and coordinate the implementation of quick, appropriate and effective solutions in electricity supply, best meeting the electricity needs for production, business of units and people's lives.

Sharing from Nghi Son Iron and Steel Corporation (VAS): With a total capacity of 266,425 MVA, the electricity consumption in the first 5 months of 2024 was 382.3 million kWh, an increase of 107.72% over the same period. From the time of implementation to production activities in the area, the unit has received great attention, support and facilitation from Vietnam Electricity Group, Northern Power Corporation and especially from Thanh Hoa Power Company to ensure safe and stable electricity supply for the entire operation of the company. Knowing the difficulties of the electricity industry, since 2019, we have participated in the DR program with Thanh Hoa Electricity Company. We consider this a work that demonstrates the cooperation of businesses with the electricity industry to ensure the safe and stable operation of the national electricity system, reduce grid overload, bring common benefits to the whole society and sustainable development of the economy. On June 19, 2024, VAS participated in adjusting the electricity load once with a regulated capacity of 45MW, during the evening peak hours. Thanh Hoa Electricity Company met to show gratitude at Long Son Cement Factory.

Long Son Company Limited has a branch in Thanh Hoa province - Long Son Cement Factory is currently using electricity with a total installed capacity of 153.8 MW. As one of the leading units, it has always shown interest and support in participating in the load adjustment program with Thanh Hoa Electricity Company over the past many years. On June 19-20, 2024, the unit participated in adjusting the load twice with each time the regulated capacity was 30 MW, during the evening peak hours. At the gratitude meeting, the Factory representative highly appreciated the coordination and power supply work to serve the production and business development of Thanh Hoa Electricity Company. It is recommended that the electricity industry continue to pay attention and invest in the power grid to ensure quality and continuous power supply for production and business. In addition, there are flexible adjustments, suitable to reality and more incentive policies for the load adjustment program to cooperate effectively together.

In the first 5 months of 2024, Nghi Son Cement Joint Stock Company had an electricity consumption output of 183.2 million kWh, an increase of 111.42% over the same period. At the gratitude meeting, Mr. Dau Phi Tuan, Deputy Director of Nghi Son Cement Plant, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the unit, thanked Thanh Hoa Electricity Company for its attention and recognition.

He said that because the electricity consumption for Nghi Son Cement's production and business activities is relatively large, thanks to the efforts and coordination between the two sides, everything has been going relatively smoothly so far. Accompanying, sympathizing and sharing the difficulties of the electricity industry in reducing the load, we try to ensure balanced production during peak hours. We believe that in the future, this mutual support relationship will always be harmonious and strong.

Turn off unnecessary electrical equipment when leaving the room, completely cut off the power source if not using the equipment. Make the most of natural light and ventilation, reduce the number of common lights in the hallway at night. Regarding monthly electricity demand forecasting, the Company has carried out load forecasting seriously and responsibly.

"Determining that this is a job that must be done continuously, especially during the dry season months every year (from April to July), the unit will proactively balance work and production to ensure compliance with the commitment between the two parties. Starting to participate in the DR program with Thanh Hoa Electricity Company from 2024, the electricity consumption output of Dai Duong Cement Joint Stock Company in the first 5 months of 2024 was 60.9 million kWh, an increase of 208.32% over the same period. Determining that this is a job that must be done continuously, especially during the dry season months every year (from April to July), the unit has arranged a reasonable production plan, shifting the capacity of using equipment with large power consumption such as: fan motors, water pumping stations, air compressors... during peak noon hours (from 12:00 to 15:00) and peak evening hours (from 21:00 to 24:00), minimizing the use of electrical equipment without load.... The unit will proactively balance work as well as production to ensure compliance with the commitment between the two parties. In addition, we also hope to continue receiving the cooperation and attention from Thanh Hoa Electricity Company. Dai Duong Cement is always ready to cooperate with the electricity industry for the common goal.
