Residents of the Blue Zones live long thanks to music therapy
Blue zones is a term used to describe areas with a unique lifestyle and diet, which makes the population over 100 years old the highest in the world . The five blue zones include Ikaria in Greece; Barbagia, Sardinia in Italy; Okinawa in Japan; Nicoya in Costa Rica; and Loma Linda in the United States. Longevity expert and National Geographic explorer Dan Buettner has spent years studying the lifestyles of people in these areas, finding out why they live to be 100. He points out that the key to longevity and good health, besides nutrition, is simple habits at the age of 80, 90 or 100 such as dancing, playing music, dancing... Residents in areas like Nicoya, Costa Rica often hold dance parties. The Greeks have a traditional event called panegyris. According to Buettner, they dance all night long, organizing many exciting activities together. In fact, an hour of dancing burns the same amount of calories as an hour of jogging. According to Harvard Health, dancing can significantly reduce your risk of heart disease. Musical instruments create therapeutic sounds (Photo: Ecopark). In addition, many people in the green areas regularly play a type of instrument such as guitar, piano, or traditional instruments, which are culturally characteristic of each region. In Okinawa in Japan or Nicoya in Costa Rica, music has become an indispensable "dish" in the lives of the elderly. Every day, they play traditional musical instruments and sing and dance to the tunes that have been with them since birth. In Okinawa, the elderly also schedule a meeting twice a week to chat, play music and sing in turn at someone's home, as a habit that helps strengthen family ties and reduce stress and tension. According to Lorrie Kubicek, a music therapist at Massachusetts General Hospital (USA), music therapy is a long-standing health care profession. The methods used by therapists include active interventions (singing, exploring musical instruments, composing, dancing, producing digital music) and receptive interventions (listening to music, creating playlists or talking and reminiscing about music). In addition, music therapy also includes health improvement goals such as reducing anxiety, improving mood, reducing pain perception when having cancer or during treatment or increasing the ability to express emotions. "Sound bath" at Blue Zones in Vietnam Promoting the value of sounds, the founder of Ecopark built a sound garden utility at the Ecovillage Saigon River project - promising to become the first Blue Zones in Vietnam. Ecovillage Saigon River is a Blue Zones style land in Vietnam. Located in the east of Saigon, 18km from Notre Dame Cathedral, Ecovillage Saigon River is built on an area of about 55 hectares, with 32 hectares of water surface passing through the project, 4 hectares of park area, and a construction density of 15% of the entire area. The impressive parameters above, along with the appearance of more than 200 species of trees and flowers blooming all year round, will help Ecovillage Saigon River become a riverside flower island, qualified to develop into a Blue Zones land in Vietnam. Located in the core area of Riverwalk 2, the sound garden has a separate, private space, surrounded by an internal river, this is the space where people find peace and tranquility, opening up positive energy and resilience from deep within. Also at the sound garden, residents will be treated through vibrations and rhythms, "bathed" in sound waves. To do this, the founder of Ecopark designed a carefully researched crystal roof truss system with different materials and thicknesses combined with the sounds from water, wind, tall ancient trees and attracting birds to nest, creating perfect musical sounds. Sound therapy has existed since ancient times (Photo: Ecopark). This tailoring was calculated by the investor to match the Re Mi sound, corresponding to the sound frequency of 417-528hz, which belongs to the Solfeggio healing frequency. According to experts, the sound frequency of 417hz helps stimulate changes in life by helping to find and discover positive energy sources, eliminate painful experiences, find and dissolve negative emotional attitudes and habits. Meanwhile, the frequency of 528hz increases the clarity of thinking, stimulates the development of talents, creates inspiration and energy to complete work, strengthens intuition, helps find the right paths in life. This frequency is called the frequency of love, and it can work wonders. According to the founder of Ecopark, not only music, but also sounds that enliven life, the sounds at the sound garden will be a tonic to help treat and improve the health and spirit of residents, leading to a happy, youthful, and long life in the middle of Saigon's flower island.
At 8:30 and 15:30 on November 26, at the Ecovillage Saigon River project, the founder of Ecopark will organize a separate experience session for residents and visitors with tickets (visitors contact the project's official agent for tickets) to "bathe in sound" for health therapy. The event will have the participation of musician Duc Thinh - who always inspires music to listeners with all his heart. Throughout his journey to find creativity, he has raised the use of harmony to a new level for therapy, improving the quality of life of music lovers.
