Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su spoke at the conference.

According to the plan, the RAS-IMTA model with a scale of 1,500 hectares in the province will be deployed with two main linkage areas: De Heus Company will lead the 1,000-hectare linkage area and Minh Phu Seafood Corporation will lead the 500-hectare linkage area. The goal is to apply high technology to develop the RAS-IMTA model, helping to reuse circulating water, save resources, reduce disease risks, protect the environment and increase productivity.

At the conference, delegates discussed and shared the principles, design, and operation of the technology and clarified the roles and tasks of the accompanying technology author group in implementing the model. Delegates also discussed and agreed on the roadmap and coordination mechanism for implementing and replicating the model.

The discussion focused on mechanisms and policies to support farmers; ways for people to easily access preferential policies; standardizing the RAS-IMTA process to suit the actual conditions of Ca Mau province; at the same time, proposing the establishment of a provincial project management board to ensure timely direction, supervision and support during the implementation process.

Leaders of the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Agriculture and Environment chaired the discussion session at the conference.

Also at the conference, businesses announced policies to support farmers such as: Preferential loan packages and green credit; technical support, design, RAS-IMTA technology transfer; preferential feed price policy; support of 20% of seed costs and 50% of fish and seaweed costs in the first crop; support of international certification and product consumption... De Heus Company and Minh Phu Seafood Group committed to accompany farmers, aiming to build a closed-loop shrimp value chain, ensuring stable output and increasing income for farmers.

Delegates exchanged and discussed at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su emphasized: The implementation of the plan to replicate the RAS-IMTA model on a scale of 1,500 hectares in the province is an important step in realizing the development orientation of the Ca Mau shrimp industry in the direction of green, circular, high-tech and sustainable. The results of phase 1 have affirmed the clear effectiveness of the model in helping to increase productivity, reduce costs, control diseases, limit pollution and increase export value, contributing to building the brand "Ca Mau Shrimp - green, clean, sustainable".

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su requested departments, branches, localities and enterprises to identify that this is not only an economic project but also a scientific - environmental - social project, requiring close coordination, discussing and agreeing on support mechanisms, green credit capital, standard technical processes and synchronous implementation, ensuring the project is implemented substantially, effectively and sustainably.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su requested departments, branches, localities, businesses and people to join together with a high sense of responsibility, determination and synchronization, considering this a key task in developing the Ca Mau shrimp industry in the period of 2025 - 2030, contributing to building Ca Mau into a high-tech shrimp center of the country.
