(NADS) - On the afternoon of February 29, the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association opened the Artistic News Photography Exhibition with the theme "Spring Colors of Truong Sa". The exhibition displays 120 artistic news photos taken by photographers during their working trip to visit and wish the soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district a Happy New Year on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024.

Attending the event were comrades: Representative of the Southern Command; Colonel Tran Hong Hai, Deputy Political Commissar of the Naval Region 2 Command; Colonel, Photographer Doan Hoai Trung, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association; along with many delegates, officers, soldiers and reporters.

The exhibition displays 120 artistic news photos by photographers Nguyen Phung, Giang Son Dong and photographer Nguyen Manh Hung. The works were taken during a working trip to visit and wish the soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district a happy new year on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024.

Colonel Doan Hoai Trung said: This is the first exhibition on the theme of spring in Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa . The exhibition displays artistic news photos about activities and the atmosphere of preparations for Tet of the army and people on Truong Sa island district.

According to Colonel Tran Hong Hai, “the exhibition works show the spirit of celebrating spring without forgetting one’s duty, being ready to fight, and the beauty of soldiers in training, working, and playing. At the same time, the photos also express the feelings from the “front lines” sent to the beloved rear on the occasion of the beginning of the year.”

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association received the flag on Co Lin Island signed by the island commanders and the heads of the working delegations, presented by the authors. The flag will be kept in the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association's tradition room.

The exhibition “Spring Colors of Truong Sa” will take place until March 5 at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association. After the exhibition here, the photo collection “Spring Colors of Truong Sa” is expected to be exhibited on a mobile tour in districts and towns in Ho Chi Minh City.
