According to official information from Audi AG, after research, the company discovered that some high-voltage battery modules on the Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT models may have problems that need to be checked at the factory. To protect customers, Audi decided to recall all affected vehicles for inspection and replacement if necessary.

In Vietnam, Audi confirmed that there are 6 Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT cars subject to recall, all of which are officially imported and distributed.

Owners have been notified via Audi Vietnam’s customer management system. They will be invited to bring their cars to the workshop at a convenient time for inspection and repair, which is expected to take 3 days per car and is completely free of charge.

Audi RS e-tron GTs distributed in Vietnam will be recalled to check the high-voltage battery.

Audi Vietnam confirms that the above models are still operating safely until the time of inspection. However, inspection and error correction are necessary to ensure maximum safety during use.

For Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT vehicles that are not officially distributed in Vietnam but are subject to recall as announced by Audi AG, the responsibility for inspection and repair lies with the importers. However, Audi Vietnam said it is ready to support customers in contacting Audi AG and performing the inspection upon approval from the company.

This also applies to imported vehicles for personal property transportation or diplomatic vehicles, to ensure that all customers enjoy the benefit of a full technical inspection.

Customers who own Audi cars can easily check whether their car is subject to recall or not by accessing the official website of Audi Vietnam at audi.vn, then entering the vehicle chassis number to check.

This recall program will take place from October 15, 2024 and last until October 15, 2027 with coordination and supervision from the Vietnam Register.
