This afternoon, August 26th, the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held a working session with the Standing Committee of the Trieu Phong District Party Committee regarding the plan to organize a ceremony commemorating the 555th anniversary of the name Trieu Phong (1469 - 2024), the awarding of the Second Class Independence Order, and the certificate recognizing the district as having achieved the new rural standard. The meeting was chaired by the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang; also in attendance was the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Ho Thi Thu Hang; and the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Nam.

Reporting at the meeting, the leaders of Trieu Phong district stated that the purpose of organizing the celebration of the 555th anniversary of the name Trieu Phong, receiving the Second-Class Independence Medal and the Certificate recognizing the district as a new rural standard, was to help officials, Party members, and the people better understand the land and people of Trieu Phong, and the historical and cultural traditions of 555 years since the name Trieu Phong was established until now.
This will create an atmosphere of excitement in society and showcase the potential and strengths of Trieu Phong, aiming to attract investment resources from the central and local governments as well as investors, thereby creating new momentum to help Trieu Phong develop rapidly and sustainably in the next phase. The event is expected to be held between September 15th and 30th, 2024.
After listening to the proposals and suggestions of the delegates, concluding the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang, presented many historical documents for Trieu Phong district to continue researching and comparing, and then make an accurate decision on the correct year for the name Trieu Phong. After obtaining accurate research results, Trieu Phong district will add it to the ceremony program.
In the coming period, the Party Committee of Trieu Phong district will soon issue a resolution to guide the district's authorities at all levels in implementing socio-economic development to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria for a new rural district, especially the criteria on environment, planning, land use, and transportation infrastructure construction, so that people's lives are further improved, and land-related complaints and lawsuits are minimized to ensure sustainability in the construction of new rural areas.
To effectively carry out socio-economic development tasks, the Party Committee and government of Trieu Phong district need to identify what to prioritize, what to do later, where the resources are located, propose specific tasks and projects for the province to support, while simultaneously leveraging revolutionary traditions, exploiting internal resources, and taking advantage of external support to achieve these goals.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang, instructed the Department of Finance to research and propose to the Provincial People's Committee a plan to provide financial support to Trieu Phong district for organizing the ceremony to receive the Second-Class Independence Order and the Certificate recognizing the district as meeting the standards of a new rural area, as well as constructing some appropriate and effective projects in the future.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, together with Trieu Phong district, developed an art program to celebrate, noting that fireworks would not be organized in order to allocate funds to other more practical projects and activities.
