According to Tripadvisor, Travelers' Choice Best of the Best destinations are those whose hotels, restaurants, and activities have received a high number of reviews and opinions that exceed expectations from the community over a 12-month period. Less than 1% of Tripadvisor's 8 million listings are awarded Best of the Best, representing the highest level of excellence in the travel industry for the winning destinations.
This year, in the list of 25 most popular destinations in the world in 2024, there are 2 Vietnamese locations: Ha Long Bay (ranked 3rd) and Sa Pa (ranked 5th). The top two positions belong to Tokyo (Japan) and Seoul (South Korea).
About Ha Long Bay, Tripadvisor says that visitors come here to see the bay's stunning limestone islands, rock formations, and caves up close. These natural wonders have been eroded by centuries of wind and rain, making them truly breathtaking. Visitors should rent a kayak or join a tour to explore Ha Long Bay.
Tripadvisor also has high praise for Sa Pa in Lao Cai: "Located in the northwestern mountains of Vietnam, Sa Pa is colorful and charming. The stone church in the town center is a highlight, along with many shops and stalls, reminiscent of the French presence here.
