Planting trees to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh

(ABO) On the morning of May 15, in Tang Hoa commune, Go Cong Dong district, the Women's Union of Tien Giang province organized the activity "Environmental protection - adaptation to climate change", planting trees with the theme "One more tree - One more source of life" to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and respond to the emulation movement to build new rural areas in 2025. Speaking at the event, Vice President of the Women's Union of Tien Giang province Nguyen Thi Kieu Tien said: Responding to the launch of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union "Women cultivate the future - For the benefit of ten years, plant trees, for the benefit of a hundred years, cultivate people"; The project "Planting 1 billion new trees in the period of 2021 - 2025" launched by the People's Committee of Tien Giang province and the campaign "All people join hands to protect the environment" in the province in the period of 2024 - 2028", the Provincial Women's Union organized a program to plant 500 star apple trees on the road of Trai Ca hamlet, Tang Hoa commune, Go Cong Dong district, with a budget of 55 million VND. Thereby, calling on all cadres, members, and women in the province to join hands, actively plant trees, grow flowers, build model roads, and women's self-managed flower roads; at the same time, take care of and protect trees so that they grow well, bringing long-term benefits to the community.

Tien Giang Provincial Women's Union presented a symbolic plaque of 500 star trees and 50 compost bins to 50 member households and women in residential areas of Tang Hoa commune.

At the same time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tien Giang province guides members and women to collect, classify and treat household waste at the source. Introduce the practical model of "Composting with compost bins" to participate in environmental protection. This is one of the models that has been implemented effectively by the Women's Union at all levels in Tien Giang province in recent times.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Women's Union of Tien Giang province presented compost bins to 50 member households and women in the residential area of ​​Tang Hoa commune, each household with 1 compost bin and 1 bag of organic fertilizer for members and women to implement the model of "Composting with compost bins".

The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tien Giang province guides members and women to collect, classify and treat household waste at the source.
