Planting more than 200 hectares of concentrated forest

Since the beginning of the year, the whole commune has planted 206 hectares of concentrated forests, the planted forest area being cared for is 2,570 hectares, the exploited wood output reached ^16,480m3 . Responding to the movement "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho", the whole commune has planted 215,365 trees of all kinds.

Vice Chairman of Truong Son Commune People's Committee Tran Duc Thuan said that the commune regularly pays attention to the work of forest care, protection and development; organizes patrols and controls of key forest areas in the area managed by the Commune People's Committee; directs villages and hamlets assigned with community forests and households assigned with protected forests to strengthen patrols and controls on forest management and protection in the forest areas assigned to them for protection.

The locality has also coordinated with BVN Quang Binh Investment Joint Stock Company to carry out activities (collecting applications, training, propaganda...) to grant FSC certificates for an area of about more than 2,000 hectares of forest in the commune.
