This is one of the key contents in the 2025 training and combat readiness plan of the units, aiming to improve the ability to coordinate operations in modern warfare conditions.
During the two days of training, the flight crews of the 917th Air Force Regiment performed many complex flight tasks, closely coordinating with the forces of the 101st Brigade. Training subjects included: Air operations, helicopter landing, deployment of combat formations, occupation and expansion of areas according to tactical intentions.

This is a training session with high requirements on techniques, tactics and joint military coordination, requiring precise and smooth coordination between the Air Force and the Navy in complex weather and terrain conditions. However, with careful preparation, scientific organization and determination of officers and soldiers, the entire training content was completed well, ensuring absolute safety for people, weapons, equipment and aircraft.
Colonel Ngo Hong Son, Deputy Commander of the 917th Air Force Regiment, said: "The airborne joint training session is an opportunity for the Regiment's officers, pilots, and technical staff to practice their mettle, improve their command skills, and their ability to coordinate with friendly forces. Thereby, strengthening their sense of responsibility and determination to complete assigned tasks under all conditions."
In the context of modern warfare, the requirement for coordination between forces is increasingly high. Organizing joint training between Air Force Regiment 917 and Brigade 101 is a practical step, contributing to improving the capacity of command, coordination and flexible response in joint and inter-service operations.
Colonel Pham Duy Huong, Political Commissar of Brigade 101, commented: “The coordination between the Air Force and Navy forces in this training session was very close and harmonious. The flight crews of Air Force Regiment 917 ensured absolute safety, handled all situations flexibly, creating favorable conditions for the Navy troops to practice landing with high results.”
Through training, officers and soldiers of Brigade 101 not only demonstrated their expertise in amphibious operations, but also improved their ability to participate in airborne landings, in line with modern combat requirements. At the same time, the command level and coordination capacity of commanders at all levels were significantly improved, meeting the task of combat readiness in the new situation.

As a unit with a long tradition of heroism in combat and flight training, Air Force Regiment 917 always determines the motto "Good training, strict discipline, high combat readiness" as its core mission throughout.
Each training flight is not only a challenge of skills and techniques, but also a demonstration of the bravery, intelligence and spirit of "dare to fight, know how to fight, and win" of an Air Force soldier.
