Just about 10 minutes after the dam was closed, the water level at the foot of the dam, an area of about 2,000 square meters, had dropped significantly. Locals said: The time when the dam stops releasing water is always a good opportunity to catch many types of natural fish such as: silver carp, silver carp, common carp, etc. However, this year because the hydropower plant closed later than usual, the amount of fish was not as abundant as expected.

Mr. Tran Quyet Thang (Ma Da commune, Dong Nai province) shared: "This is the first time the dam is closed this year but there are not many fish. However, every time we cast the net, we have good catches, mainly catfish, silver carp and tra fish."
