China’s Ministry of Commerce has issued a statement saying that the country is ready to “fight to the end if forced,” while emphasizing its desire to maintain communication channels with the US to find a reasonable solution to trade issues. A spokesman for the ministry said that unilateral tariffs and export controls would only complicate the situation.

Accordingly, China's reaction came after the US government announced plans to tighten export controls on some technology products and impose high tariffs on goods imported from China. Beijing affirmed that it always advocates resolving differences through dialogue "in the spirit of equality and mutual respect".

Data released by China’s General Administration of Customs shows that despite the challenges posed by trade tensions, the country’s exports have continued to grow positively. In September, exports increased by more than 8% compared to the same period last year – the strongest increase in the past six months. Notably, exports to the US reached over 34 billion USD, reflecting the resilience of Chinese businesses to tariff pressure.

At the same time, the US side also sent a signal that it wanted to maintain cooperation. US President Donald Trump said that Washington "wants to work with China to promote global economic stability", while the US Treasury Department confirmed that the two sides had resumed contacts to ease trade tensions.

International economic experts say that tensions between the two major economies are not only about trade but also about technology, supply chains and strategic advantages. However, in the context of the volatile global economy, the two sides maintaining dialogue is considered a positive factor, contributing to stabilizing the market and investor sentiment.

Analysts also said that China's affirmation of its readiness for dialogue shows that the country is still pursuing a flexible approach, combining the steadfast protection of core interests with the policy of cooperation for long-term stability. This is also a message that the international community hopes will help reduce the risk of escalation and create room for a more open and sustainable trade environment./.
