Mr. NT's son, in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, has been studying at the Australian English Center for nearly 2 years now. His old study package worth more than 30 million VND will end in 3 months.
Recently, after researching and being introduced to many incentives by the center's staff, the couple decided to buy a new package for their child for more than 40 million VND.

This package is more expensive because it includes a short IELTS preparation course that your child needs to prepare for personal plans.
Mr. T. said that he did not forget the incident where parents lost money at Apax Leader Center a while ago because of paying long-term tuition for their children.
However, he chose to take a long course at the Australian International English Center for several reasons, such as a good promotion program and the desire for his child to have a stable and continuous English learning path. His child has been studying here for a long time, and many students have also studied here for many years.
In particular, this center has been operating for nearly 20 years, not newly opened like Apax Leader, so parents almost do not think about any unexpected events.
However, currently, Mr. T. and hundreds of parents who send their children to study here are in a situation where the tuition has been paid but the center is closed, the director and staff are "missing" and cannot be contacted, and their children's studies are unfinished.
According to some parents, on May 8, they received a notice from the Australian English Center about suspending operations for a week from May 8 to May 14 to repair facilities.
This announcement shows that due to the impact of heavy rain, the center's facilities have encountered problems that have not been promptly resolved in classrooms and the entire facility. The center also said that the above-mentioned break time will be fully added for students.
Some parents expressed that they felt uneasy when they received this "closed for repairs" notice. Because during that time, many parents could no longer interact or contact the staff at this center. And then could not contact the director or manager here.
According to the list of parents paying tuition fees at the Australian International English Center, the amount of money parents pay here is up to billions of dong.
It shows that many parents have sent their children to study English at this center for many years, have taken many courses and have just paid for a new package.
Notably, many parents had only paid tuition for their children a few days before the center closed on May 8, not having had a chance to attend a single day of school.
Ms. NN, in Phuoc Long B, Thu Duc City, said that she had just paid nearly 20 million VND to this center to register for a study package for her child.
According to plan, her child was to start the first course this June, but now she is shocked to hear that the center is closing.
"My child hasn't started school yet so I didn't know the center was closed. I only found out when the parents informed each other. I tried to contact the previous consultant and called the manager but couldn't get through," said Ms. N.
The mother said that this is the money she has been saving for a long time from her child's lucky money and monthly savings with the desire to invest in her child to learn more English.
Ms. N. tried to access the center's website but it was no longer accessible.
On May 16, at the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of parents whose children are studying at the Australian English Center had a meeting with the Inspector of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City to report on the center's fraudulent behavior and property appropriation.

According to parents, the center collected tuition fees with a commitment to organize English courses. However, after collecting the money, the center did not organize classes, did not have teachers, did not refund tuition fees as promised, and showed signs of absconding.
Inspectors of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City have recorded the parents' feedback and reported it to the leaders for consideration.
