With the goal of completely replacing paper medical records, Hong Linh Medical Center has invested in upgrading its information technology infrastructure. The hospital management software system (HIS) has been updated to meet data sharing standards, health insurance payments, and is closely connected to the laboratory system (LIS), allowing two-way data communication, minimizing procedures and processing time. Patients no longer have to wait for films to be printed or carry records between departments.

A special feature of the transformation process is that the center has deployed digital signatures and electronic signatures for all medical staff. Doctors and nurses can issue medical orders and update information on tablets or smartphones anytime, anywhere. At the same time, internal regulations related to information security, system security and electronic medical record management have also been fully issued.
According to Dr. Nguyen Thai Lam - Director of Hong Linh Medical Center, the implementation of electronic medical records not only helps to reform administrative procedures but also shortens waiting time, increases accuracy in treatment and patient monitoring. "This is a solution to help standardize processes, save operating costs, and at the same time improve people's satisfaction," Mr. Lam emphasized.

This event also opens the door for the Ha Tinh health sector to move towards the goal of applying BAĐT at all medical examination and treatment facilities before September 2025 under the direction of the Prime Minister. Doctor Nguyen Minh Duc - Director of the Ha Tinh Department of Health assessed that electronic medical records will create a "revolution" in health management, helping to make data transparent, improve operational efficiency and bring clear benefits to both doctors and patients.
Hong Linh Medical Center's pioneering role in digital transformation not only creates a technical premise but also inspires other units in the area in the journey to modernize the medical industry.
