On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), on the afternoon of April 19, Comrade Dao Xuan Yen, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien veterans in Ba Thuoc district.

During the working trip, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Dao Xuan Yen visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien veterans, including: Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xo (born in 1927) in Dien Tien village, Dien Lu commune; Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong (born in 1930), in Ward 4, Canh Nang town and Mr. Le Van Uoi (born in 1933) in Cha village, Thiet Ke commune.

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Dao Xuan Yen presented a gift to former Dien Bien soldier Nguyen Dinh Xo.

At the places visited, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Dao Xuan Yen kindly asked about the health and life of the former Dien Bien soldiers and expressed his respect and gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the Dien Bien Phu veterans who contributed to the Dien Bien Phu victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world".

The delegation visited and listened to former Dien Bien soldier Nguyen Van Thuong in Canh Nang town tell about his memories of the battlefield.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department wished the Dien Bien veterans and their families good health, continued to promote the revolutionary tradition and the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, nurtured andeducated their children and grandchildren about love for their homeland and country, national pride and self-respect, thereby contributing their efforts and intelligence to build their homeland to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also informed the Dien Bien veterans about the province's series of gratitude activities on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. Through these activities, we aim to continue educating the ideology of cadres, party members and people, especially the young generation, about the heroic revolutionary tradition of the nation, the brave spirit of soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, thereby striving to build our homeland and country to become more civilized and prosperous.

He also noted that Party committees and authorities in Ba Thuoc district need to continue to care for and carry out well the work of "repaying gratitude", paying attention to policy families, including former Dien Bien soldiers, former youth volunteers, and frontline laborers serving the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
