On the afternoon of June 9, the University of Natural Sciences announced the 10th grade benchmark scores of the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences.
According to the published score sheet, the score for the Math and Computer Science specialized class (Math exam) and the Computer Science specialized class (Computer Science exam) is 19.50 points. The Physics, Chemistry, and Biology specialized classes are 17 points.
The school announced that the admission score is the total score of the Math subject in round 1 (must be 4.0 points or higher and multiplied by a factor of 1) plus the score of the specialized subject (must be 4.0 points or higher and multiplied by a factor of 2). The scores of Literature and English are not counted towards the admission score but must meet the condition of achieving 4.0 points or higher.
Candidates who need to re-examine, submit application from 8:00 a.m. June 11, 2025 to 4:00 p.m. June 17, 2025 (except Saturday and Sunday).
The Admissions Council of the University of Natural Sciences will send admission notice to candidates via SMS to the phone number the candidate registered in the application form.
Successful candidates will enroll on July 5, 2025 at the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences. The school notes that successful candidates who enroll in the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences will not be admitted to other high schools.
* Previously, on June 1-2, 2,596 candidates took the entrance exam to grade 10 at the High School for Natural Sciences.
This year, the school enrolls 525 students for 5 specialized subjects: Mathematics, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (each subject enrolls 105 students). Candidates can register for a maximum of 2 wishes in different specialized classes, provided that the specialized subject exam time does not overlap.
In 2025, the School of Natural Sciences will also have many changes in the admission method: No more direct admission, 100% of candidates must take an entrance exam with four exams, including three general exams including Literature, Math (round 1) and English and one specialized subject exam. For the first time, English becomes a conditional exam with a multiple-choice format within 60 minutes. Literature is designed to combine multiple-choice and essay, while Math round 1 still retains the essay format within 120 minutes.
