The leaders of Hue City requested the Hue Monuments Conservation Center to urgently develop a plan to restore the national treasure, the Nguyen Dynasty throne, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage and the guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and report the plan to the City People's Committee before June 20.

During the implementation process, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center must apply modern science and technology to analyze and determine the authenticity of raw materials, repair time, and additional preservation over time to choose appropriate solutions.

Hue City requires prioritizing the use of traditional technology and techniques based on closely following data and current status and making the most of the pieces of the throne collected after being destroyed, ensuring scientific and sustainable nature.

In addition, it is necessary to consult with the National Archives Center, organizations, individuals, and conservation experts to research, supplement information, and choose the best solution to restore, digitize, and preserve the National Treasure of the Nguyen Dynasty throne.

As Dan Tri reported, at 11:55 a.m. on May 24, Ho Van Phuong Tam bought a ticket to visit the relic, then sneaked in and vandalized the Nguyen Dynasty throne area at Thai Hoa Palace, in the Hue Imperial City (Phu Xuan District, Hue City), damaging artifacts.

Up to now, Hue city authorities have prosecuted and temporarily detained for 3 months the defendant Ho Van Phuong Tam for the crime of Intentionally damaging property.

After the incident, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center moved the Nguyen Dynasty throne to the antiques warehouse for preservation, and displayed the restored version at Thai Hoa Palace for visitors.
