University of Social Sciences and Humanities announces benchmark scores for early admission methods

Accordingly, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has announced the benchmark scores for early admission methods, including direct admission (PT 301), admission according to special regulations (303); considering HSA competency assessment test scores of Hanoi National University (401) and considering international SAT certificates (408).

For direct admission (PT 301), the school considers students who have won third prize at the national level or higher, according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

As for the category of Examining according to special regulations, the award level for admission is similar, but applies to the excellent student exams at the provincial, city, and Hanoi National University levels. For the majors of Journalism, Public Relations, and Psychology, candidates must win First Prize to pass.

In particular, with method 401 - considering the capacity assessment test scores of Hanoi National University, the admission standard score on a scale of 150 ranges from 80 - 104 points. The major with the highest standard score is Public Relations (104 points), followed by Psychology (101.5 points), Journalism (97.5 points), Korean Studies (95 points).

In the admission method based on SAT certificate (a popular standardized test in the US), 26/28 majors have a standard score of 1,140/1,600, with Psychology and Public Relations taking 1,227 and 1,173 points respectively.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will enroll 2,300 students through 6 admission methods. In addition to the above 4 methods, the school also considers the 2024 high school graduation exam scores and international language certificates (IELTS, TOEFL iBT, HSK and HSKK, JLPT, TOPIK II) combined with graduation exam scores.

In 2023, the benchmark score of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities ranges from 20 to 28.78 points. Five majors with benchmark scores above 28 points include public relations, journalism, Oriental studies, Korean studies and psychology. Public relations is the major with the highest score of 28.78 points, considering the C00 combination (Literature, History, Geography).
