Mr. Chuong said that with the orientation of developing into the National Economics University, in the coming time, the school will establish 4 affiliated campuses including: School of Economics, School of Business, School of Technology and International School on the foundation of the current Faculties and Institutes.

Regarding the establishment of an additional International School, he emphasized: "This is an important task of the school in the coming time. Students will study and experience an international environment right at the National Economics University."
At the same time, upgrading the International Training Institute to an international school will also motivate the institute to continue to improve the quality of training, absorb educational technology, and attract international lecturers, scientists and students to the school. He hopes that this will help the school soon become an excellent training and research center in Vietnam and in Asia.
Supporting this development orientation, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc said that the two leading universities in the country in the field of Economics are the National Economics University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.
Recently, the Prime Minister has approved Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics to convert into a University.
"I believe that in the near future, the National Economics University will soon complete the goal of upgrading to a University, worthy of the school's reputation and training quality," Mr. Phuc emphasized.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Phuc, on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training, presented certificates of merit from the Minister of Education and Training to the collective and individuals of the International Training Institute, National Economics University.
The Ministry of Education and Training acknowledged and highly appreciated the development of international training cooperation activities of the Institute and the National Economics University. He said that the importance of implementing international training cooperation programs lies not only in training a team of business administrators and economic managers of international standards, but also in supporting the development of the training organization's own team and promoting the transfer of advanced training technology from developed countries.
"The joint training programs implemented by the International Training Institute have been achieving positive results, serving as a driving force towards international standards," the Deputy Minister added.
In 1992, the National Economics University established the Office of Distance Education Project Management under the Graduate School. During the period from 1992 to 2000, the Office implemented many international joint training programs such as: Vietnam-Belgium Graduate Program in cooperation with the Free University of Brussels (Kingdom of Belgium), Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in cooperation with Washington State University (USA)...
After a long process of working, building a team and affirming quality, in 2003, the National Economics University established the Faculty of International Training Management with the task of managing, building and directly implementing international training joint programs. By 2025, the Faculty was upgraded to the Institute of International Training.
Since its inception, the International Training Institute has continuously expanded its cooperation with highly ranked universities in the world, from the UK, to New Zealand, Germany, the US, Canada, expanding training from undergraduate to doctoral levels.
To date, the Institute has trained more than 1,900 students in Vietnam, more than 400 students transferred and graduated from partner universities. In addition, more than 1,500 students have graduated from postgraduate programs.
