Hanoi Medical University has just announced the decision to recognize 178 candidates who passed the direct admission exam to the regular university in 2024.

Admission requirements: Candidates who have won national excellent student competitions or regional and international Olympic medals.

Notably, this year is the first year that candidates who won national excellent student awards in literature, history, and geography are directly admitted to Hanoi Medical University.

Accordingly, there are 19 candidates who passed the direct admission exam and are good students in literature, history, and geography.

All 19 candidates won second prize or higher in the national excellent student competition and were admitted to the psychology major. There was 1 candidate who was good at English and was admitted to the psychology major.

2024 is also the first year the school opens a psychology major, recruiting groups including C00 (literature, history, geography), D01 (math, literature, English), B00 (math, chemistry, biology).

In addition, the medical industry has the highest number of direct admission candidates with 128 candidates, Thanh Hoa branch of medicine has 16 candidates, dentistry has 5 candidates, ophthalmology has 3 candidates, medical testing technology has 2 candidates, traditional medicine has 2 candidates, public health and nutrition each have 1 candidate.

In addition, there are 3 candidates who passed the direct entrance exam and have studied for one year at the Ethnic University Preparatory School.

Previously, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Tung, Head of the Training Management Department of Hanoi Medical University, said that psychology belongs to the field of social and behavioral sciences , so the school's admission combination of C00 (literature, history, geography), D01 (math, literature, English) is completely suitable.

The school only considers the C00 combination for the psychology major with 20 targets.

According to Mr. Tung, psychology belongs to the field of social and behavioral sciences, so the school's admission combination C00 and D01 is completely appropriate. In addition, schools training in psychology all use 5 traditional combinations, including combinations C00 and D01.

"Based on the input standards and teaching content of the psychology training program of Hanoi Medical University, students with good knowledge of literature, history, and geography are suitable to study psychology, meeting the output standards of the training program of Hanoi Medical University".

Tuition fee 15 - 55.2 million VND/year

In 2024, Hanoi Medical University will enroll 1,720 students (an increase of 350 students compared to last year).

The school applies four admission methods, including direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi Medical University; admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam for all majors; admission based on the results of the 2024 capacity assessment exam of Hanoi National University; admission combining the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam with international foreign language certificates (foreign language certificates are a preliminary admission condition).

Specifically, with the admission method combining graduation exam scores with international language certificates, the school only applies to medical, dental, and advanced nursing programs, in which IELTS must be 6.5 or higher; advanced nursing programs must be 5.0 or higher.

The school reserves 25% of the direct admission quota for each major. If the direct admission quota is not met, the remaining direct admission quota will be for the admission method based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.

The tuition fee for the next school year announced by the school is expected to range from 15 - 55.2 million VND/year.
