Can Tho University enrolls students for the first time in Journalism major

On May 1, information from Can Tho University said that in the 2024 regular university enrollment plan, the school will consider recruiting many new majors. Notably, the school will consider recruiting Journalism majors with an expected quota of 60.

The undergraduate Journalism major trains bachelors with comprehensive professional knowledge along with necessary social knowledge to practice solid professional skills in the field of journalism and media; equipping students with diverse working and research capabilities, dynamic and creative thinking, adapting to the development of journalism and media in Vietnam and the world .

After graduation, students can work at media companies, event organizations; press and media agencies, publishing houses; universities, colleges; agencies and organizations with needs related to press and media activities...

The Journalism major has a 4-year training period (admission code 7320101). There are 3 admission methods: Direct admission, priority admission; admission by high school graduation exam; admission by high school transcript (admission combination: Literature, History, Geography (C00); Literature, Math, English (D01); Literature, History, English (D14); Literature, Geography, English (D15)).

In Can Tho City, there are currently about 65 local and central press agencies and representative offices with nearly 1,000 cadres, reporters and employees.
