Ho Chi Minh City University of Law has 2 more vice rectors

Today (January 30), Ho Chi Minh City University of Law announced the appointment of two vice rectors for the 2020-2025 term.

Previously, on January 29, the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law issued a resolution on the appointment of two vice rectors of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law for the 2020-2025 term, with Professor Do Van Dai and Associate Professor Tran Viet Dung.

Professor Do Van Dai

Professor Do Van Dai was born in 1974, graduated with a bachelor's degree in law in 1999, a master's degree in law in 2000 and a doctorate in law in 2004 from Aix-Marseille III University (France). Since 2007, he has returned to Vietnam and worked at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. He was recognized by the State Council of Professors as meeting the standards for the title of associate professor in 2011 and professor in 2021.

In 2008, Mr. Do Van Dai was appointed as Head of the Civil Law Department. In 2011, he was assigned as Head of the Civil Law Department and then appointed as Head of the Civil Law Department. In 2022, Professor Dr. Do Van Dai was assigned to be in charge of the Vietnam Journal of Legal Science until now.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Viet Dung

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Viet Dung was born in 1977, graduated with a bachelor's degree in law, majoring in international law from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law in 2000; a master's degree in law from the University of Law and International Business (Korea) in 2003; and a doctorate in law from the National University of Singapore in 2008. He was recognized as meeting the standards for the title of associate professor in 2016.

Mr. Tran Viet Dung started working at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law in 2003 at the Faculty of International Law. In 2012, he was appointed as Deputy Dean; in 2014, he was assigned as Dean and appointed Dean of the Faculty of International Law. In 2019, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Viet Dung was reappointed as Dean of the Faculty of International Law.

Previously, in September 2023, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son decided to recognize Dr. Le Truong Son as the Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law for the 2020-2025 term. With that decision, after more than 5 years since the old rector retired from management in 2018, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law officially has a new rector. During the period from March 2018 to the end of April 2023, this university only had a vice rector in charge and an acting rector.

With the appointment of two more vice rectors, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law has now completed its board of directors with one rector and two vice rectors.
