The School of Information Officers held a graduation ceremony for foreign students.

On June 25, the Information Officer School held a graduation ceremony for the 13th Lao People's Army Officer Course and the 18th Royal Cambodian Army Officer Course. Colonel Nguyen Trong Vinh - Deputy Head of the School's Military Department presided over the ceremony.

Colonel Nguyen Trong Vinh awarded certificates of merit to two outstanding students.

During their time at the school, students are equipped with basic knowledge of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought, the Vietnamese revolutionary path and some knowledge of social sciences and humanities necessary for military activities; fostering worldview, scientific methodology, political qualities, ethics and working style. Along with that, students are equipped with knowledge in basic and fundamental sciences, specialized knowledge and skills as required by university-level information staff officers; ensuring that officers upon graduation are capable of doing well in teaching, research; advising, organizing, managing, commanding and training information units; effectively exploit equipment in the Lao People's Army and the Royal Cambodian Army and the ability to self-study, research, and improve qualifications to meet the development requirements of modern warfare... Military students of the two countries have completed their courses and training classes with good results.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Trong Vinh congratulated the students for successfully completing the course's tasks; commended all officers, lecturers, and employees of agencies, departments, and Battalion 18 for overcoming all difficulties and being enthusiastic in teaching. At the same time, he hoped that the students would quickly approach and grasp the unit's task situation, apply well the knowledge and professional qualifications equipped at school into practical activities in teaching, commanding, managing, exploiting means of communication and training troops, and excellently completing tasks in each assigned position...
