On the morning of November 16th, Duc Tho High School solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 60th anniversary (1965 – 2025).
Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thanh Dong and leaders of provincial and local departments and agencies also attended.

Duc Tho High School was established in 1959. In November 1963, according to Decision 1649-QD/VX, the school was renamed Tran Phu High School.
By 1965, due to wartime circumstances, the Ha Tinh Provincial Administrative Committee issued a decision to split the school into two: one named Duc Tho High School, located at the foot of Chua Am mountain, in the former Duc Hoa and Duc Lac communes; and the other named Tran Phu High School, located in the former Duc Thuy commune.

In 1965, Duc Tho High School (now Duc Tho High School) commenced its new academic year – a milestone marking the school's development and growth. From 1965 to the present, the school has relocated five times; since 1979, it has been situated in Duc Lang commune (now Duc Dong commune, Ha Tinh province).
Over 60 years of construction and development, the school has 399 teachers and staff members who have worked or are currently working there; 16 People's Teachers and Excellent Teachers; more than 22,000 graduates; more than 1,400 students who have achieved National, Northern, and Provincial-level excellent student awards; many students who have achieved top scores and been admitted to leading universities nationwide; and many generations of successful students who have become leaders and key personnel in agencies, organizations, and businesses.

Over more than half a century of construction and development, Duc Tho High School has been honored to receive many prestigious awards from the Party and State, such as: the Third-Class Labor Medal; commendations from the Ministry of Education and Training, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union... and has been recognized as a national standard school for the periods 2015-2020 and 2022-2027.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Ms. Thai Thi Bich Ngoc, Principal of Duc Tho High School, on behalf of the teachers and students, expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for the achievements and valuable lessons that previous generations have diligently cultivated. Entering a new phase of development, Duc Tho High School remains steadfast in its mission: "Dedication – Intelligence – Humanism – Creativity".
Every teacher and staff member of the school will continuously innovate teaching methods, apply technology, focus on life skills education, cultivate character, and develop students' abilities, contributing to the education cause of the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Nguyen Hong Cuong praised and congratulated Duc Tho High School on the achievements it has made over the past 60 years. To uphold its traditions and build the school into a top-tier educational institution in the province, the representative from the Department of Education and Training requested the school's Board of Directors to continue building a united and strong team, focusing on political , moral, and ideological education; each teacher should be a shining example, training citizens with knowledge, character, and a desire to contribute. The school should continue to implement the fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training in accordance with Resolution 71 of the Politburo and the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress.
