Information has surfaced on social media about a restaurant in Thanh Hoa city, Thanh Hoa province, that a customer spent 270,000 VND on a meal but mistakenly transferred 270 million VND when paying.

According to the post, the restaurant owner hopes that the customer who reads the information on social media will contact them so that the restaurant can return the excess money that was mistakenly transferred.

This information, which appeared on social media, attracted the attention of the online community. Many people praised the restaurant owner's kind gesture.

Upon investigation, the person who posted the information is Hoang Hiep, the son of the owner of a restaurant in Lam Son ward, Thanh Hoa city.

Speaking to a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper , Mr. Hoang Hiep said that at around 1:37 PM on November 24th, a customer had a meal at the restaurant, and the bill came to 270,000 VND. However, this customer mistakenly transferred 270 million VND instead.

By the time the restaurant realized what had happened, the customer had already left. Wanting to return the money to the customer, Mr. Hiep posted on his personal page and social media groups to find the forgetful customer.

"I find it perfectly normal; if it's not my money, I have to return it to the customer. This isn't the first time; before, there were customers who mistakenly transferred 300-400 million VND," Mr. Hiep said.

According to Mr. Hiep, in addition to posting information on social media, he went to the bank to ask for help in retrieving the customer's information. However, due to data security concerns, the bank could not assist in the search.

Nearly a week had passed without any contact from the customer, so this morning, November 30th, Mr. Hiep contacted the police to ask for help.
