Candidates from Chu Van An High School for the Gifted happily walked out of the exam area after the first exam.
Specifically, this year's Literature exam consists of two parts: reading comprehension and writing.
In the reading comprehension section (3 points) with an excerpt from the poem “Passing Through the Storm” by author Anh Ngoc, candidates are required to identify the poetic form… and draw lessons about their own life.
In the writing section (7 points), along with presenting thoughts on the need to balance emotions in life, the exam requires candidates to analyze an excerpt from the short story "The Beggar's Wife" by writer Kim Lan, from which they can comment on the writer's perspective on life as expressed in the excerpt.

Sharing with us, most candidates said that this year's exam had a lot of content that required reasoning, analysis and practical connections, so it took a lot of time to do each question. In addition, according to the candidates, although they had reviewed the work "The Beggar's Wife" many times, many candidates were somewhat surprised because the excerpt was given at the end of the story.
Just stepping out of the exam area, Nguyen Viet Hoang, a test site at Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, Lang Son City, said: The exam was relatively difficult, but being divided into many questions also helped candidates allocate time to complete each content, ensuring the progress of submitting the exam on time. I tried to answer all the questions on the exam, hoping that I will have good results in this exam.
After finishing the first exam, in the afternoon the candidates continued to take the second exam, Math, with a duration of 90 minutes.
