The APS news agency and Radio Algeria reported that the Vietnamese Prime Minister was welcomed at Houari Boumediene International Airport by Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb along with several members of the country's Government. Two major Algerian media agencies continued to report on Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh 's activities on the morning of November 19, saying that the two leaders had held talks at the Algerian Prime Minister's Office. This was an opportunity for both sides to praise the depth of friendship and solidarity between the two countries and peoples, as well as the history of the joint resistance against French colonialism.

The two Prime Ministers emphasized the political will of the two countries' leaders in promoting comprehensive cooperation and elevating the relationship between the two countries to a Strategic Partnership.
