According to the mission outline approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism , the promotion program will take place in two major Australian cities, Sydney and Melbourne, from November 23 to 29. Activities within the framework include business-to-business (B2B) meetings, traditional Vietnamese art performances, etc.
One of the key objectives of this campaign is to enhance the brand recognition of “Vietnam – Endless Beauty” with the message “Authentic Experience – Connecting Green Heritage”. The organizers also want to capture the tastes of Australian tourists, which is a potential market for heritage, experiential and ecological tourism .
Notably, the promotional strategy is being implemented in the context of Vietnam setting a big target for international tourism in 2025, with an expected number of about 22 - 23 million international visitors.
Visa policies are also being adjusted to support this strategy. Vietnam is expanding electronic visa (e-visa) categories, simplifying entry procedures, contributing to facilitating international tourists, including Australian visitors.
In addition to the promotional objective, the program also aims to develop cooperation between Vietnamese and Australian tourism businesses. This is an opportunity for travel agencies, hotels, and airlines of the two countries to meet, exchange, seek partners, and build tourism products suitable for the market.
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism emphasized that increasing its presence in Australia not only helps promote the flow of international visitors to Vietnam, but also increases the value of the national tourism brand.
Figures show that Vietnam is becoming the top choice for Australian tourists. InsideAsia Tours recorded a 46% increase in direct bookings from Australian visitors to Vietnam in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. According to ATIA, Vietnam also led the growth rate of Australian visitors traveling abroad in April 2025, reaching 28.5%, surpassing Japan and China.
In the first 10 months of 2025, Australia continued to be in the top 10 largest tourist sending markets of Vietnam with more than 447,000 arrivals, affirming the attraction and strong growth potential of this market.
