On July 6, Argentina's Reporte Asia newspaper published an article praising Vietnam's contributions at multilateral forums, with two terms as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (2008-2009, 2020-2021), with initiatives on peace , protection of women and children in conflict, and promotion of regional reconciliation.

An article by Reporte Asia, a website specializing in the Asian region published in Argentina, emphasized that Vietnam has served as ASEAN Chair (1998, 2010, 2020), host of the Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum (2006, 2017) and member of the United Nations Human Rights Council (2014-2016, 2023-2025), demonstrating its commitment to listening and finding common solutions.

Vietnam also actively participates in the United Nations peacekeeping operations with Vietnamese medical and engineering teams in South Sudan, the Central African Republic, and Abyei, making small contributions to world peace, in line with the profound humanitarian spirit of Latin American peoples.

In Latin America, Vietnam has strengthened cooperation with many organizations such as the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) or the Southern Common Market (Mercosur) towards connecting countries for common interests.

With countries in the region, Vietnam also cooperates in many areas from exchanging agricultural products, sharing farming techniques to learning educational models and sustainable development.

Vietnam-Latin America cooperation has many practical potentials, from sharing rice growing experiences with countries with similar agriculture, learning how to produce large-scale agricultural products such as coffee and soybeans, to developing renewable energy from the region's wind and solar power achievements.

The article also particularly highlighted the fact that Vietnam became a BRICS partner country last June, to join other countries in realizing the aspiration of building a fair, multipolar international order.

According to Reporte Asia, Vietnam's successful international integration process is thanks to its multilateral foreign policy.

The newspaper reviewed Vietnam's accession to the United Nations in 1977, ASEAN in 1995 and the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2007 as extremely important integration milestones that helped Vietnam gradually participate deeply in the global economy.

The network of 17 free trade agreements (FTAs) with economic hubs such as the European Union, Japan, South Korea, the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) are the result of persistent efforts to expand cooperation.

Faced with global challenges such as climate change, food security, and social inequality, Vietnam wishes to join Latin American countries in efforts to find common solutions for a world of sustainable development./.
