Recently, the musical The Enchanted Crossbow , inspired by the legend of Trong Thuy and My Chau, officially premiered at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater. The performance was performed by students from the Victoria Bilingual School in Ho Chi Minh City with the support of the Youth Drama Theater crew.
More than 40 students from elementary to high school participated in the play, under the artistic advice of professional artists.

The musical opens up an artistic space rich in images and emotions, vividly recreating the spiritual life, culture and beliefs of the Au Lac people. The highlight of the play is the love story between My Chau and Trong Thuy, portrayed from a realistic and humane perspective. Through this play, the students hope to convey Vietnamese culture to international friends. Notably, all the songs and dialogues of the characters in the play are performed in English.
Sharing about this work, the program's general director - Meritorious Artist Anh Tuyet said: "I am very impressed with the professionalism, confidence and acting ability of the students. It is that natural, pure emotion that has created a well-prepared and emotional play."

Meanwhile, Meritorious Artist Chi Trung also expressed his excitement to Thanh Nien when he saw his children perform for the first time after a period of practice. He said: "I am the former Director of the Youth Theater, although I have been retired for several years, today I feel the same emotions as when I was still performing. Standing at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater, where I have performed hundreds of shows, I still feel excited because it is the first time I see the children staging the show Trong Thuy - Mi Chau. Of course, they must have the support of the Youth Drama Theater, the guidance of Meritorious Artist Anh Tuyet and a very strong crew. However, everything still depends on the children, so I am as excited as if I were about to perform."
