T&T Group presents proposals at meeting with the Government

T&T Group proposed that the Prime Minister provide a mechanism for assigning tasks and designating projects that require high technology, management, and finance; and create conditions for private economic sectors to participate.

On the morning of September 21, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a conference of the Government Standing Committee working with large enterprises on solutions to contribute to the country's socio -economic development.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Do Quang Hien - Chairman of the Strategy Committee of T&T Group affirmed that T&T Group always accompanies and contributes to the strong and prosperous development of the country. T&T Group is operating in many important fields with a total value of tens of billions of USD, especially the high-tech, advanced logistics project in Vinh Phuc belonging to the value chain, supply chain connecting China and ASEAN, attracting high-tech investors to invest. In particular, the Quang Tri airport project has been started and is expected to be put into operation in May 2026.

Mr. Do Quang Hien, Chairman of the Strategy Committee of T&T Group, spoke at the conference with the Prime Minister.

T&T Group expressed its hope that the Government would support the planning of an aviation and airport industrial complex in Quang Tri. This will include an industrial complex for manufacturing and maintenance of aviation industry components. First, maintenance, then production of components from level 1 to high level.

Regarding the renewable energy project, businessman Do Quang Hien said that T&T is focusing on investing in renewable energy, with more than 1,000 MW already in operation; starting a 1,500 MW gas-fired power project in Quang Tri; cooperating with Korean partners to produce green hydrogen and recover carbon emissions.

T&T Group representative proposed that the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade soon consider the project of producing green hydrogen and recovering carbon emissions and gas complex in Quang Tri implemented by a joint venture between T&T and SK Group (Korea).

According to Mr. Hien, based on the practical experience of working with the world's leading corporations in the field of renewable energy, the enterprise recommends that the Prime Minister provide a mechanism for assigning tasks and designating projects that require high technology, management, and finance; create conditions for private economic sectors to participate, as long as they ensure compliance with regulations, especially those related to national security and defense; training, and technology transfer.

“As recently, not only state corporations should do offshore wind power, but also private and foreign ones, but must ensure national security. Technology transfer, commitment within 10 years,” Mr. Hien affirmed.

According to Mr. Do Quang Hien, currently, T&T Group cooperates with foreign partners with conditions. Firstly, it must comply with the law and national security. Secondly, technology transfer training and management levels must be transferred to Vietnam, at least within 10 to 15 years. Thirdly, if you want to transfer or increase capital, you must have the consent of the Vietnamese partner.

In addition to logistics and renewable energy, T&T is also participating in the transport infrastructure sector. This includes the Bao Loc – Lien Khuong expressway project; expressing interest in component 3 of the 4th beltway project…

“The projects that T&T Group has been doing are all feasible, not unrealistic,” Mr. Do Quang Hien affirmed.
