
Training class scene
During the training course, the trainees were shared and instructed by the lecturers on the following contents: prevention and control of vitamin A and iodine deficiency; nutritional care for sick children, raising young children in emergency situations; improving nutritional status and reducing the rate of malnourished children under 16 years old in poor, near-poor and newly escaped-poverty households. In addition, trainees were also equipped with techniques to weigh, measure and assess the nutritional status of children in the community according to the latest guidelines of the Ministry of Health ; instructions on monitoring and evaluating the results after children use nutritional supplements.
During the course, the students actively discussed, practiced, shared experiences and together resolved difficulties when implementing the work of assessing the nutritional status of children under 16 years old in poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty households within the framework of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
Through the training course, 100% of trainees were updated and practiced with adequate knowledge and skills on "prevention and control of micronutrient deficiencies", improving professional capacity and sense of professional responsibility in the work of preventing and controlling malnutrition at the grassroots level.
