From June 28, Hai Phong launches the first night tourism product "Sacred Mark of Hang Kenh"

The night tour “The Sacred Mark of Hang Kenh” aims to honor the noble values of the Hang Kenh Communal House. This is a national architectural and artistic relic, built more than 3 centuries ago, where the “Renaissance Father” Ngo Quyen is worshiped, the hero who opened the era of independence of our country Vietnam.

The tour's content hopes to convey the unique story of Hang Kenh Communal House relic about the harmony between "Literature" and "Martial Arts", highlighting the "both literary and martial" spirit of the Vietnamese people.

The tour is a combination of folk performing arts, traditional rituals and modern technology. Typical activities include: Water puppetry on the crescent lake; incense offering and offering rituals, expressing gratitude and praying for the protection of King Ngo; exchange activities, traditional art performances including Cheo, Ca Tru, Hat Dang Van and especially Hat Cua Dinh - a unique art form of Ca Tru - an intangible heritage recognized by UNESCO on October 1, 2009.

In addition, visitors will also be able to participate in traditional culinary and handicraft experiences: asking for calligraphy from a scholar, printing Dong Ho paintings, shopping for traditional and unique handicraft products...

Digital transformation in the heritage sector

According to the Organizing Committee, the highlight of the tour is the 3D mapping show "Song Bach Dang Hao Khi Ngo Quyen" performed by L'Héritage Group. This is the unit implementing cultural projects using the most modern 3D mapping technology in the country, with experience in 3D projection at major national events such as the "Quintessence of Dao Hoc" Night Tour at the Temple of Literature and the " Peaceful Epic" program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

Through the show, visitors can learn more about the life story and glorious achievements of King Ngo. The 3D mapping film will recreate and guide viewers through 5 segments: From the image of Duong Lam Ancient Village - Ngo Quyen's hometown, to the scene of military training, tide research, stake arrangement, and the historical Bach Dang naval battle. The effects of light, sound, and moving images on the ancient communal house background will create a lively, realistic and emotional space.

Digital transformation in the heritage sector is considered an important content to both preserve, maintain and expand, exchange and promote heritage values, contributing to promoting Vietnamese heritage to the world. Hai Phong, a land at the estuary with a long-standing historical and cultural tradition. This place is known for 3 resounding victories on the Bach Dang River, is a land with residents since prehistoric times and is one of the important commercial and economic centers of Vietnam. The city currently owns nearly 1,000 relics, including 1 world natural heritage, Cat Ba archipelago, 5 special national relics, 119 national relics, 435 city-level relics and about 400 relics in the inventory list. This is a priceless asset that needs to be applied digital transformation to serve the development of cultural industries, especially cultural tourism, contributing to the economic development of the country and the city. At the workshop "Building a system of cultural values and cultural industry in Hai Phong city" held in September 2023, many experts and scientists recommended that Hai Phong build smart tourism products associated with digital transformation at tourist attractions and relic sites, helping visitors have new and impressive experiences.

Comrade Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: The night tour called "The Sacred Mark of Hang Kenh" will be the first tourism product that the agency applies modern digital technology to recreate the heritage space. The city's goal is to build the "The Sacred Mark of Hang Kenh" night tour into a regular night tourism product of the city.

The night tour “Sacred Marks of Hang Kenh” will take place at the Hang Kenh communal house relic at 47 Nguyen Cong Tru, Hang Kenh ward, Le Chan district, Hai Phong. every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at 47 Nguyen Cong Tru, Le Chan District (Hai Phong) with the official launch on June 28, 2025. Ticket price for each experience is 300,000 VND/adult, 150,000 VND/child from 1m - 1.3m tall, children under 1m tall are free.
