According to the provincial Hydrometeorological Station, on January 1, 2025, the weather in Vinh Long province will be cloudy to cloudy, with intermittent sunshine during the day and light showers in some places in the evening (20% chance of rain).

The lowest temperature is 23-24°C, the highest temperature is 29-30°C. Specifically, the temperature in Vinh Long city is from 24-30°C, the remaining districts and towns have temperatures from 23-29°C.


From the night of January 2-4, 2025, unseasonal rain tends to increase again, with heavy rain occurring on January 3-4, 2025 with an amount ranging from 5-15 mm/period, in some places over 20 mm/period.

Beware of thunderstorms accompanied by whirlwinds, lightning and strong gusts of wind that can negatively affect agricultural production activities and people's lives in affected areas.


In addition, the daily peak water level at stations in the province will rise with the tide from now until January 3, 2025. From January 4, 2025, the water level will fall with the tide. The highest water level is likely to appear on January 2-3, 2025, at approximately level II alarm, causing flooding on inner-city roads in Vinh Long City (photo), areas along Tien River, Co Chien River, Mang Thit River, Hau River in low-elevation areas.
