Indeed, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Linh, a teacher at Be Yeu kindergarten (Ha Lam ward, Quang Ninh province) was very moved when she woke up and saw her husband beside her. Her daughter, Pham Nhat Linh Dan, was overjoyed, hugging and kissing her father on the cheek and chattering away. And then, in the happiness of Mr. Huy and Ms. Linh, we heard about the beautiful love and the difficult days they had overcome together.

Coming from the same hometown of Nam Dinh , and studying at the same high school, he was in the upper class, she was in the lower class, it was natural for them to get to know each other and secretly like each other. The day Huy received the notice of admission to the Naval Academy, Linh was in 12th grade. In the new learning environment, they still kept in touch with each other through handwritten letters. After graduating from high school, Linh passed the entrance exam to Hanoi University of Science and Technology. They had a long-distance relationship with sincere and simple love. After graduating, Huy received the decision to work in Quang Ninh, at this time Linh was studying at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

During their time together, both of them did not receive support from their families. Linh's parents were afraid that their daughter would marry a soldier and be away from home often, which would be difficult. Huy's parents wanted their son to marry a woman from the same neighborhood so that they could help take care of their children. Both of them had to persevere in convincing both sets of parents to protect their love. And then, in early 2020, Pham Huy and Thuy Linh became husband and wife.

The early days of young married life were full of difficulties and hardships. The day she learned of her pregnancy, Ms. Linh wanted to inform her husband first, but the response was a series of "beep, beep..." sounds from the other end of the line. From the day his wife became pregnant until she gave birth, Mr. Huy only encouraged her over the phone. When their daughter was 1 month old, she was found to have an abscess in her left breast and had to be hospitalized immediately. During the entire month of treatment at the hospital, he was not at home due to work requirements. She alone had to take care of her child and manage her own personal affairs... When her child's health was stable, Ms. Linh decided to quit her stable job in Hanoi, bring her child to Quang Ninh, and rent a house so that the couple could be close to each other. While taking care of her child, she also registered to study at the Preschool Department of Hai Duong University. The day her daughter turned 18 months old was also the day he received the decision to go to Nha Trang to study advanced courses for 8 months. She was alone in a foreign land, with no close relatives by her side, applying for a job, looking after and taking care of her child. There were times when the child was sick, and then both mother and child were sick, but she comforted and encouraged herself to try to overcome it...

Now, happily watching her daughter play with her father, Linh confided to us: "For me, happiness is the days when the sky is calm, the sea is calm, or the short days off when he comes home to visit me and my children." At times like that, the whole small family is always filled with laughter. Although it is so hard, she is always proud to be the wife of a marine soldier, to contribute a small part to help him feel secure and steady in his gun to protect the sea, sky of his homeland, and country.
