One morning in mid-May, we accompanied the inspection team from the Party Committee's Inspection Commission of Vinh Thuan commune to work in Vinh Loc 1 and Vinh Loc 2 hamlets. In the small room of the hamlet's headquarters, every notebook, citizen reception file, and Party branch meeting minutes was meticulously reviewed. The team not only checked the implementation of working regulations but also focused on evaluating the sense of responsibility of cadres and Party members in receiving and handling citizen feedback. The questions were asked frankly, specifically, and addressed each aspect of the work.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Tri, Head of Vinh Loc 2 Hamlet, said that the increased inspection and supervision by the Party Committee's Inspection Committee has contributed to improving the effectiveness of activities at the grassroots level. Through direct working sessions, many shortcomings in task performance were promptly pointed out and corrected, helping cadres and Party members enhance their sense of responsibility and service to the people. "The inspection contents are closely aligned with reality and specific details, helping the locality clearly identify areas for improvement. As a result, the working style and methods of cadres are becoming more orderly, and the handling of people's affairs is also faster and more efficient," Mr. Tri said.
According to the Party Committee's Inspection Committee of Vinh Thuan commune, from July 1, 2025 to May 21, 2026, the commune inspected one Party organization and one Party member; and supervised one Party organization and one Party member. Currently, the commune is inspecting two Party organizations and two grassroots Party branch secretaries; and supervising two Party organizations and two Party branch secretaries. The Party Committee's Inspection Committee has conducted seven inspections of six Party organizations and 14 Party members. Grassroots Party branches have conducted inspections of 41 Party members and supervised 83 Party members.
Mr. Le Thanh Trung, Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee of Vinh Thuan commune, said: "In the past period, we have proactively promoted the core role in innovating inspection and supervision methods, focusing strongly on those directly connected with the people, namely the Party branches of the sector and the hamlet Party branches. Thanks to increased regular and direct inspections at the grassroots level, the work ethic and responsibility of all cadres and Party members have undergone positive changes, raising awareness of responsibility and improving the attitude of serving the people."
According to Mr. Dang Truc Phuong, a specialist in the Party Building Department of the Vinh Thuan Commune Party Committee, strengthening inspection and supervision not only helps to promptly correct shortcomings in task implementation but also enhances the sense of responsibility of cadres and Party members. “Through inspections, each cadre reflects on their work style and methods to make adjustments accordingly. I myself am also more proactive in handling work, focusing on a service-oriented attitude, listening to and supporting the people more wholeheartedly than before,” Mr. Phuong shared.
It is evident that strengthening inspection and supervision not only contributes to tightening discipline among cadres and Party members but also creates a clear transformation in the spirit and attitude of serving the people at the grassroots level. Through practical inspections, many shortcomings are promptly rectified, thereby improving the efficiency of work, building the image of cadres who are closer to the people, more responsible, and more dedicated in performing their duties.
