"Pimp" rents house for prostitutes

The People's Court of Ky Anh town ( Ha Tinh ) has just sentenced Nguyen Van Xuyen (born in 1982, from Nghi Son commune, Nghi Son town, Thanh Hoa province) to 66 months in prison for the crime of "Prostitution".

According to the indictment, around early October 2022, Nguyen Van Xuyen rented a house from Ms. TTMN (at Truong Yen Residential Area, Ky Thinh Ward, Ky Anh Town) to live and do business.

However, Xuyen then used 2 rooms in the house and hired LTP and LTH to work as prostitutes. The agreement was that for each prostitution session, Xuyen would receive 400,000 VND, and the rest would belong to the prostitutes.

According to the indictment, the total amount of money Nguyen Van Xuyen illegally profited from prostitution activities was 5.8 million VND.

At the trial, the People's Court sentenced Nguyen Van Xuyen to 5 years and 6 months in prison for the crime of "Prostitution".

For the prostitution of LTP and LTH and the prostitution of the subjects, Ky Anh Town Police imposed administrative penalties in the form of fines.
