Lightning strikes and burns down a house in Can Loc

Mr. Phan Van Son - Secretary of Gia Hanh Commune Party Committee, Can Loc District said: The burnt house belongs to Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung (born in 1966) in Nhan Phong village.

Neighbors, villagers and local authorities approached the house and tried to find a solution.

According to local residents, at the time the fire broke out (around 7 p.m. on May 24), there was heavy rain and lightning in the area. The house was unoccupied because Ms. Dung and her children were working far away. Due to the late discovery, many of the homeowner’s belongings were destroyed.

Ms. Dung has a particularly difficult situation, her husband died early, and she has many children. Her house was just built in 2024 with support from the Ministry of Public Security and local authorities at a total cost of 70 million VND.

Many items in the house were burned down.

Local authorities and people are focusing on implementing remedial measures.
