Emotional memorial service for former President Tran Duc Luong

On the morning of May 25, the memorial service for former President Tran Duc Luong was solemnly held simultaneously at the National Funeral House (Hanoi), Thong Nhat Hall (Ho Chi Minh City) and his hometown Quang Ngai.

From early morning on May 25th, preparations for the memorial service for former President Tran Duc Luong were meticulously carried out.

General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and other former Party and State leaders attended the memorial service. According to the funeral organizing committee, on May 24, 835 delegations, totaling over 10,000 people, came to pay their respects, send wreaths, and offer condolences to the family of former President Tran Duc Luong.

In Quang Ngai , the hometown of former President Tran Duc Luong, a solemn memorial service was also held. Around 11:00 AM on May 25th, the coffin of former President Tran Duc Luong will arrive at Chu Lai Airport. From 3:00 PM onwards, the burial ceremony will take place at the family cemetery in Pho Khanh commune, Duc Pho town.

President Luong Cuong, head of the funeral committee, delivered a eulogy at the memorial service for former President Tran Duc Luong. "With 88 years of life, 65 years of Party membership, and over 50 years of revolutionary activity, Comrade Tran Duc Luong continuously strived and dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party, the nation, and the happiness of the people," President Luong Cuong affirmed.

Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, son of former President Tran Duc Luong, expressed his deep gratitude to the Party and State leaders, friends, and people who came to bid farewell and express their condolences to former President Tran Duc Luong. "Father, you lived a life full of devotion to the Party, the people, the country, your homeland, and your family. We hope you rest in eternal peace, always watching over and blessing Mother, all of us, our family, the people, and the country that you always loved," Mr. Tran Tuan Anh said emotionally.

The funeral procession carrying the coffin of former President Tran Duc Luong departed from the National Funeral Home, heading towards Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi) for transport to his hometown in Quang Ngai province. The burial ceremony for former President Tran Duc Luong will take place at 3 PM today in his hometown of Pho Khanh commune, Duc Pho town, Quang Ngai province.
